You have to start a new game as either a boy or a girl and save over the file when you enter gameplay (don't move). Then start a new game as the opposite gender and save again, not moving. But when the message says it's saving and not to turn off the power, turn off the gameboy or emulator. You will start as a blue-clothed boy or a red-clothed girl, and you will continue this way until you "teleport" after beating the Team Rocket for the first time.

Actually i did this in my crystal version and it worked right?well after a while the effect wore off.he turned back to red

Somewhat cool, yes... The thing is, once, while I was cloning in my Crystal version, I happened to turn on my gameboy, and see a red girl instead of my regular boy..! The colour disappeared when I flew to another town, but I was still a girl... Dammit...
