Decamark and whatnot empty party glitches.
« on: December 05, 2007, 06:21:36 PM »
Dear god... this took forever to finally isolate what was going on with everything. But this is just one little glitch that I happened to come across. I've been making such a big deal about it all this time. The work has finally approached something. This game has some weird sounds. Attached is a savestate and VBA video. The video is just there for your convenience so you don't have to time it perfectly. (You have to press down at certain beats of the song to get this glitch, but each different beat produces a different speed. This video displays the best speed, started by pressing down exactly at the fourth drumbeat from the beginning of the state.

I have done this ( but i got my friend to look at the results ). You perform it by starting a new game then saving then do loads of cheats through a cheating device ( I used my xploder to do things like walk-through-walls, but i have forgotten everything ). Basically, everything in the menu comes up when you hit START. You go into pokemon, then push A and look at the stats. This will force the stats of decamarks, etc and sometimes a bad egg comes up. Very interesting results however.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this make the entire glitch moot? Seeing as we try to avoid cheating devices last I checked... but I digress. Looks interesting, may give it a try at some point.

I don't get how you did it? I just tried it myself and it didnt glitch the sounds. Also, why do people always do it for Blue/silver/sapphire/pearl...

I am sorry, but I am positive you just were playing sounds from a synth keyboard.
