DBZ Legacy of Goku GBA Series Glitches
« on: November 26, 2008, 10:45:54 PM »
I have a whole crap load of glitches from these games to share. I don't have screenshots but I plan on getting some as well as Youtube videos too. I'll start in order of release:

Legacy of Goku
Well first of there is the Infinite health glitch (well sort of anyways). Here's what you do:

First You have to have some energy in your flight meter
After that you must then fly while an enemy charges up a Ki Blast. fly directly into its path so you get hit by it

You'll take a significant amount of damage doing this so make sure your health is full otherwise you risk dying.

when you get hit by the Ki Blast you'll be standing on the ground with the Flight noise infinitely looping. Your healt and Ki meters will not be visible because the game still thinks that Goku is flying even though he is walking on the ground. This means that the flight meter is visible instead.

Enemies will follow you at close quarters but will not attack due to the fact the game still thinks you are flying. This effect lasts until you fly again. The sound will remain regardless if you revert out of this glitch or not. The other sounds will play but the flight noise can be heard in the background and it will remain that way until you shut off the game.

Legacy of Goku II

I've got quite a few glitches for this game. I spend a lot of time playing this game or at least I used to.

Make Perfect Cells Kamehameha Disappear

Alright this only works during the first half of Goku's fight with Perfect Cell in the Cell Games. (When the are in the Budokai stadium)

When Cell uses his Kamehameha wave simply press R to open the Scouter map and close it to make Perfect Cell's Kamehameha wave Disappear (Except for the part that damages. The front of the beam. Must be a seperate sprite than the rest of the beam.)

Over 100 in stats as Super Saiyan/ Super Namek

Unfortunately there are not enough upgrade capsules to do this with ever character but you can  max out at least two character's stats. (Not every one of them though.)

The sad part with this is only one character gets two stats maxed out when you do this. The other one gets only one stat maxed out.

Here is what you do: First you must not use any Stat capsules to raise a character's stats for the whole game until at least one character is at level 50. Save any capsules you find until then.

Once a character is at level 50 give him as many capsules as it takes for him to reach Maxed out stats. (100) There are not enough Endurance capsule to get to one hundred endurace but you can get to 98. In my opinion the best character to max out stats with is Gohan as I find him fun to use in his first fight with Cell.

Now that the character's stats are maxed out have them Transform into their Super State. Since The super state adds 10 to every stat you get a 110/100 in  the stats that are maxed out. (105/100 if you did this with Piccolo.)

This probably isn't a glitch but then again why doesn't Gohan get an even bigger boost with his Super Saiyan 2 rage during the fight with Cell?  Well I guess it is more of a programming oversite than a glitch. Oh well

Super Saiyan Gohan at the end of the game.

Before seeing the ending switch to Gohan and make him go Super Saiyan. then fly to Kami's Lookout and watch as Gohan is a Super Saiyan at the end of the game. when the game fades into the credits the Super Saiyan sound persists and it will stay there until the game is shut off.

Buu's Fury

255 Senzu Beans

Alright to do this you need to be after the part of the game where Spopovitch brutalizes Videl. Gohan asks Goku to get a Senzu Bean from Korin.

After obtaining the Senzu from Korin exit to the world map and your Journal will be updated.

While on the world map eat the Senzu Bean and Fly back to the World Games and talk to Gohan.

Gohan will take the Senzu Bean even thought there isn't one in your inventory anymore. When you look in your inventory after this you will have 255 Senzu Beans!!!

Edit: Here is a video of this Glitch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4Llzu0Yv3k

Vegeta is Talking to Himself? WTF???

To do this progress through the game until you get to Kid Buu. Before facing Kid Buu fly to a save circle in an area other than the wastelands.

Once there switch to Vegeta and fly to the Wastelands and Press yes if you are asked if you are ready to confront Kid Buu.

Once there The Text of Goku and Vegeta's Conversation will be the same however Vegeta's picture will be shown for both Goku's and Vegeta's lines making it appear Vegeta is Talking to himself.

I knew Vegeta had problems but I didn't know they were that bad. lol.

FU-SION- OOPS! GAME CRASH!!!

to do this simply perform a fusion and mess it up while standing on a flight circle. Then while the fat or Skinny Gotenks/Gogeta is still fused standing on the Flight Circle press A and the graphic of the sprite will glitch up on take off and the screen will go black with the music hanging.

Save Circle Bug

Commonly known about, this glitch allows you to fight enemies and save your game at the same time. (No wonder why no enemies are found near them in Legacy of Goku II)
This allows for some easy leveling up but I find it slower than the regular way. But hey if you are having trouble killing enemies in the area because your level is too low this isn't to bad.

Fusion Save Circle Bug

as with the bad fusion on the flight circle Glitch mentioned earlier there is also a form of that glitch for the save circle (Minus the game Crash of course.)

Glitchy graphics on the Title screen as a result of Fusing incorrectly on a save circle and saving appear as well and seem to trigger some weird effects. One time for whatever reason a save file that had been deleted recovered itself in place of the game with the fusion mishap saved. When I shut off the game and turned it on my save file with the Glitchy graphics was still there.

Update: Savefile recovery incorrect. Not true. I made a mistake on that. Sorry about that.

Well I'll edit this post if I find anymore Glitches so until then later.

I'm only able at this time to approve a quarter of these.

Legacy of Goku I glitch I can approve because I've done it on my own cart many times.

Legacy of Goku II and Buu's Fury glitches however, I'll need some video proof of these to be able to approve this submission totally.

Yes sir and I just remembered another one:

In Buu's fury there is a window you can fly out of in Kami's lookout. Suprisingly the idiots at Webfoot forgot to make the Characters revert from Super Saiyan before flying out the window. Upon exiting to the world map You'll notice something very odd. All of the Characters except for Vegeta are missing Sprites for their Super Levels. The arrow on the mini map messes up. when the non existant sprites are there. as a result the characters (Except for Vegeta who has all of his Super Saiyan sprites for Majin Vegeta purposes.) disappear when they turn as those sprites don't exist.
The arrow on little mini map in the corner of the screen will glitch up when the character's missing sprites are made visble.

Alright I got another one! This time I have a video!

It is really simple. This is for Buu's Fury

You can avoid the talk with Musaka and go straight to the Circus.

Rather than explain it I'll show it to you:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKgd0mQwuZY
Rather than going to talk to Musaka By triggering the event where you walk downwards to musaka you can go back to the area you came from and go all the way around the block and onto the otherside of the cage that has Chobi (the baby Pteranodon.) in it. You can walk on top of the Spectator's and Musaka's Sprites as well as Chobi's cage and go directly to the Circus. You can the get Chobi there and after you go back around and beat the tank at the entrance if you go out of the Circus Musaka will still be there. I haven't experimented with how long he'll be there. I just know if you try to go through the exit directly above Musaka and the cage, (the spot where the Glitch started btw.) the Trigger for the event you skipped will happen.

I apologize if that did not make any sense but the video should help it make more sense. Unfortunately I've reached a dead end in DBZ Buu's Fury due to Emulation problems. a switch on Babadi's Ship is missing and I know the exact locations of all three switches. My only option is to find a walk through walls code in order to progress to get more glitches. I'm currently working on finding one.

The game will not let me save the game. I mean it acts like it is saving but when I restart the Emulator or reset there is no save data like there should be. It does this for Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen as well even with the Flash memory correction the game acts like it is saving but it doesn't really save. GB and GBC games save fine. Please let me knoe if there is a way to corect these problems.

I did manage to make four glitch videos for the game before I got stuck though.

I have only uploaded one onto youtube. One of them is the 255 Senzu bean glitch. Sadly I cannot get to one of my favorite ones the one where Vegeta Talks to himself. I have to get through almost the entire game for that one.

Edit: actually I only have 3. I did one wrong.

by the way i solved my emulation problems by getting VBA 1.1 Unfortunately It doesn't have an AVI recorder. I guess I could do a VBA video.... I'll have to sleep on it though.

This video isn't mine but it shows some of the Glitches that I have failed to make videos of but know about as well as many others that I din't know about. Vegeta talking to himself is in this as well as a few Game Crash glitches:

I'm just using this topic so I don't have to start a new one. A lot of these submissions have been ignored despite the proof that they exist and aren't just stories. We need to start approving/denying these submissions because this board is looking sort of cluttered. I've got a wiki article for Dragonball Z Buu's Fury already saved to notepad and ready to be added. Unfortunately, I cannot add them until they get approved by someone. That's why I'm posting here. To remind the staff that some stuff needs to get done.

I've watched the videos and decided to approve this. I don't know much about the game, but I think you can be trusted about these glitches.

I've just added the Buu's Fury glitches it to the wiki. I'll deal with the others later and might also possibly add some more glitches as well since there are still a few I need to make videos of myself.
