Thanks for the input Tomby, you're a helpful guy.

However, in almost 5 days the question has had one answer... Not enough attention is being drawn to this.

Let's bring this project right into the community.

This is the first time I have seen a news announcement on the forums. Nevertheless, a belated congratulations to all the people who are working on the GCL wiki. The content is great (other than a few typographical errors), but I agree with the many people who dislike the default skin. The gray page background looks bad. Otherwise, great job.

Yeah, that's what I like to call the "hey! listen!" mechanism at work. I figure it's the best way to let visitors know that the article in question wasn't actually approved yet, and thus doesn't have our Official Stamp of Approval. Thanks for noticing that one wasn't validated, though. I thought I flagged all of the glitchdex articles earlier when I imported them - guess not :)

The metapod=hooked thing is just an inside joke. I needed some kind of "query string" (technical term for the ?blah=blah&this=that stuff you see a lot) to signify that the visitor wanted to see the article anyway, despite the fact that it's not yet approved (or perhaps it's a staff member who's validating it). I had nothing else, really.

It just dawned on me that that thing's the mascot, but we don't actually see it anywhere.

Alright, well I guess I will spend time just checking some pages and fixing typos or something. By the way, in the tasks page I noticed on the in progress, was getting info on glitch Unowns. Is this being done or what, cause I was thinking about doing that a while ago but have not started yet and I want to know of any current progress.

Dude seriously add color! I understand It's supposed to be infomitive but at least put a black background and a white foreground, or something like that.
I reject your reality and subsitute it with my own.

He's going for a Greyscale theme which is supposed to be like the old gameboy but R/B/Y was 8 bit 4-color Super Gameboy games in non-grey (forget about that very shitty pink undertone) so idk.

I have to agree. That is why I use the modern theme.
Looks better imo.

Why didn't we just use the format that's on the main site now? That's cleaner and more professional looking.

We did on the GCL theme about a month ago but Abwayax disliked it.

Yeah, I remember that. I thought it was fine. I guess its ok if its not default but why isn't it even an option? The GCL theme would be a hell of a lot better then half the other themes because the others don't even work.

I guess if you all really want it, I can make the old GCL skin available. However, that is a non-issue as far as I am concerned. Y'all can complain about how much the skin "sucks" but for now there are other important things to worry about, like the actual content.

Unless someone else here knows PHP and CSS and is willing to backport the current site's look to MediaWiki.

Anyone?

Thought so.
