I guess if you all really want it, I can make the old GCL skin available. However, that is a non-issue as far as I am concerned. Y'all can complain about how much the skin "sucks" but for now there are other important things to worry about, like the actual content.

Unless someone else here knows PHP and CSS and is willing to backport the current site's look to MediaWiki.

Anyone?

Thought so.
Wasn't the "classic" GCL skin already on the Wiki, then removed? Because I swear that I applied the old GCL look on my wiki page.

I have a Youtube account, pass it on

Alright, I finished going through the main articles and fixing some typos. As far as sentence organization, I only fixed something if I happened to notice since I was only looking at the red underlining of mistakes.

Someone might also want to majorly beef up some stubs. (You know, extremely short articles.)

hey, can non-administrators and staff edit stuff without permission if they find an article that is a mess/ needs "beefing up"?

Edit: I just ralised, we have a big edit button at the top of the screen. sorry, that was a stupid ,of course we are.

All users can edit pages. However, edits by non-staff have to be approved by staff before they become visible to guests. Similarly, new pages created by users need to be approved. The process we use for new page approval is roughly the same one that we used to use for Submit a Glitch, except several steps are removed (the user puts the info directly on the site, instead of posting it in a forum and waiting for us to confirm it, then waiting for another one of us to move it to the site... once we approve it, it's there). Staff/QC confirmation actually requires that one of us tests out the glitch/trick in question and verify that it works; hence, while we're allowing non-Pokemon submissions, those might take longer because the staff is focused for the most part on Pokemon. Since it's a safe bet that Pokemon fans are fans of other Nintendo games (I'm not, which makes me the odd one out), Zelda/Mario/Metroid/SSB glitches have a good chance of being reviewed by staff. Sonic the Hedgehog glitches also do, since a sizable portion of our memberbase are Sonic fans. Anything more far removed from that, however, might stay in limbo (for example, I'm probably the only one here who could review Wolfenstein 3D glitch submissions - although that game is so old it's probably been dissected before 2000). Other users are then encouraged to "beef it up" and add more info, etc, although the staff are the ones filtering out hoaxes and false reports.

This is a quality control mechanism. In practice, though, we shouldn't be rejecting content based on grammatical or formatting errors. The only time an edit should be rejected from the wiki is if it's vandalism or inaccurate. There are three categories of user: normal users, who are subject to quality control; QC users, who can edit freely and approve (but not delete) edits; and staff users, who can do quality control as well as other administrative functions like page protection (lock it from non-staff edits), deletion, and "blocking" (revoking a user's edit privileges). We're looking into introducing a fourth member type, "trusted" member, who can bypass quality control but cannot perform staff or QC tasks.

Incidentally, there was a movement to enable a similar feature on Wikipedia. I don't know where it went.

Any time it says I'm using "Safari", I'm actually using my phone. Safari does not run on GNU/Linux and I do not use Safari.

Well, you could put them on the wiki yourself, where they'll be tested and approved on the spot. That's the point. We're not using Submit a Glitch anymore. That's why we moved it here - so we could clear the massive backlog without any new users posting submission threads. I forgot to make all of the boards read-only though, so I guess it's my fault.

How does the GlitchDex work, exactly? I tried to edit in the TM/HM learnset for the GSC glitches, but when I edited the page, there was only the text copied from Melchior 9.
