The rules are actually out of date, there is a way to apply for a moderator position
might I ask who goes over the mod requests?
They are reviewed in the exclusive board, however I will state that personally I tend to only consider Members+ for mod positions. Since we introduced that group the mods we appointed since then have all been from that user group.
Ah. Lets say you personally want to demote a mod, do you go right to the staff or you just do it?

I do demotions myself, however most of said demotions are due to inactivity and are not serious.

For example I just recently moved Locke Yggdrasill out of the admin group because he has been inactive in three months. He hasn't really done anything wrong, and if he gets active again he'll most certainly get the position back.
Any time it says I'm using "Safari", I'm actually using my phone. Safari does not run on GNU/Linux and I do not use Safari.

Ah okay,
but lets say a mod or someone was abusing their position,
would it be a warning then demotion?

*not a bump*

With all the talk going on of a new ranking system, why not go back to this one?

Why not?

e: Not the postcount groups, but the usergroups (Admin, Mod, CBRH, etc.)

Because it's the old system and thing's are outdated in it, ie. Global Mod, Glitch Scientist, Lt. Admin, etc.

Regarding usergroups (and the badges associated with them):

Since I'm guessing that no one really uses the badges anymore, I thought I'd take this opportunity to offer to redo the badges to suit the current ranking system. Example:

I mostly used the Head Admin badge as a base, but whipped this up in less than five minutes. I can do the same with the other badges and bring them "up to code", so to speak.
