The infamous Pokémon Chaos Black.
I remember really wanting a copy of Chaos Black back in the day, just so I could play a quality ROMhack on my GBA. I might take a look at eBay to see if that's still there. Might be cool to see what all the hype was about ten years ago.
I'm doing a survey for a college class that I'm enrolled in. Please help me not fail.Wow... well written. Good job.
Not sure if sarcasm... but thanks!
Hey shatteredClockworks, just wanted to bring rule 8 to your attention:
I know this is the General Discussion board, but please remember that rules, such as this one, still apply here. Don't worry about this too much, just be aware of it and keep it in mind in the future. Thanks! [/list]
There was a chatbox in the glitch dex? Not even I remember that.
One of the other things I remember was the "adopt a glitch Pokemon" thing that everyone would put in their signatures. That's basically what I did on the site until I figured out there were forums.

Has anyone tried transferring a Pokemon obtained from this glitch? I'm not quite sure of the name but I'm curious to see if Pokemon obtained from that glitch will transfer, since, outside of being obtained in an illegal location, they have legal movesets and stats.
I'd do it myself but unfortunately I haven't been able to catch the Gengar that pops up.
As someone who's been here for years, it's great to see the activity come back to this place slowly but surely. Having 7-8 users online simultaneously is much more than I remember having in the recent years. Really brings me back to 2007-2008ish, when we had tons of people online at the same time (like, 20).
Truth be told, I think this is S&M's flaw in that it really drops off towards the end of the game. At the start and middle it's like "whoa holy s**t dang", but... what even is Poni Island? It's like they just gave up. And then there's the mountain as you mention, and then the post-game...
Yeah, I was pretty underwhelmed with the late game. After the Aether Foundation, really, the game drops off exploration-wise. I really felt like the true "Victory Road" of the game was Vast Poni Canyon. Mt. Lanakila just felt like a formality after I'd made it through that mess of a canyon.
The postgame as well was pretty disappointing. Rather than having interesting sidequests to find the UBs, the UBs basically amounted to "go to X place, encounter X UB, throw one Beast Ball, repeat" over and over and over. No real puzzles involved with getting to them - hell, not even any overworld sprites for the UBs. I feel like Game Freak got lazy towards that part of the game and it led the UB sidequest - which could have been something really cool - to be super forgettable.
Plus, what in the f**k are the grinding options postgame? There's hardly anything outside of battling wild Pokemon in Poni Gauntlet that's useful for leveling up stuff quickly. I really miss the Secret Base system from Generation III and ORAS. Those made leveling so much easier. I guess that Festival Plaza can level stuff up quickly, but I haven't really delved into the Plaza very much. I still don't know how to level up the Plaza and, as a result, mine is very underdeveloped and underleveled.
Anyone know if the Pokemon in your bank will stay there if you haven't renewed your bank subscription and have yet to update? I'm gonna update soon after I renew my subscription but I don't want to lose my living dex.

Same thing happens when you try to transfer a Mew, caught via the Mew glitch, to the Gen VII games. It just rejects it.
We do that for some articles already (i.e. giving credit to the person who found the glitch) so I think it's a good idea. As long as we're not going to other websites like Bulbapedia and altering their Celebi Trick article to say "found by Glitch City Laboratories user Paco81".

So... any bets on how long it'll take to hack the Switch? I'm guessing 6-10 months.Probably significantly longer is my bet. I don't think, outside of hacks made in Wii mode, that he Wii U had any large-scale hacks/homebrew released for it a la the Homebrew Channel on the Wii. It also took a few years of the 3DS being released for any real notable hacks to come out for it, so I'd imagine we're looking at a 2-3 year timeframe before we get any significant hack of the Switch.
So in December I got the chance to travel to Atlanta for the first time. I'd never been to the South before so it was a bit of a culture change for me - the most jarring being when the staff for the football game brought out a pastor before the game to lead the stadium in prayer.
Got to meet one of my closest friends from the internet, though, who I'd known for over 5 years but never met in real life. That was pretty much the highlight of the entire trip. Gonna try to do that more often.
