Aw jeez, that's some s**t stats for level 100.

Did you give it that moveset or was it just like that?

The beginning of the game is still as badly paced and handholdy as in the originals, so it doesn't leave most people with a good first impression, because they just play the first island and they're like "Aww balls! This is still kinda mediocre."

And then you get to the third island or so, and honestly it really impressed me. And I thought Sun/Moon were the weakest games in the series, perhaps even more so than Red & Blue in all their unpolished glory.

The post-game rubbed me the wrong way at first because it literally forces it on you when you're just trying to get to the Battle Tree, and there's a segment where you get thrown into a place where you can't even access the menu screen to save the game until you win this battle with some extremely shitty rental Pokemon (which is a new feature apparently that I haven't tried, but it's left me with a bad impression of it from that part). Hey Game Freak, don't do that. I'm still in the middle of it so I guess I'll see. It's challenging! And I like that.

Anyway, I guess you wanted differences and not how good it is, but it really does add some nifty additions to the story, and also some more difficulty. And a few more Pokemon that weren't in Sun & Moon, not just legendaries which it also lets you catch, because Game Freak are edging ever so closer to finally just letting us actually catch them all with no event bullshit or not-in-either-of-these-two-versions bullshit.

It's not as good of a "director's cut" version (this is what the cool kids call the third versions and paired sequels) as maybe Emerald or Black2/White2, but it's something.

Video Games/Glitches Discussion / Re: Favourite Super Smash Bros. game?

As a competitive Smash 4 player I'm gonna have to say Smash 4, of course. But as a player of games I also found the single player disappointing, and I'm tossed up between Melee or Brawl there.

I could never get the hang of Smash 64 though, it's just ehhhh

Smash attacks are way too hard to do, maybe the Wii VC version is better, I'll have to try it. Oh wait, they're closing down the Wii eShop. Balls.

I just want a game that's The Minish Cap but longer honestly. That's all I want out of video games. Maybe I could go into a rant about Switch on the Virtual Console and how I think it should have every system that was emulated on Wii, Wii U, and 3DS and how your purchases on any of those should be redownloadable on any system with the same account, but anyway.

Without the context of where you're up to in-game, because I can only presume this is in-game, there's not really anything that can be said.

I loved the s**t out of Superstar Saga, but Partners in Time disappointed me. In all fairness, it's been a while since I've played it, so I can't remember what it is exactly that bugged me.

At any rate I haven't played any of the more recent games in the series, and the thing is without remembering what it was that I didn't like about Partners in Time, I can't know that I'll like the newer games, because maybe they still have the thing, or maybe they fixed it. Whatever that thing is.

I didn't know Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions was out already, I guess I'll buy it when I have money.

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony

I go through "listen to all the 90s/early 00s music" moods quite often.

So... you know being an admin doesn't get you out of putting your name change in the first post of the Name Changes thread, right?

They're uhhh... not really gonna do that.

Square might just release an updated version of FF7 for Switch because all the cool kids are putting stuff on Switch these days, but Nintendo won't really have much involvement.

I had to join the Pamela Anderson fan club for some reason. Apparently there was such a thing, and eventually Pamela Anderson herself called me and I was like "aaaaagghhh!! I hate phones!!! Why did you do this to me", because apparently someone gave her my phone number. And then I woke up.

My subconscious is fired.

I think I purchased Pokemon SeaBlue or something like that on eBay once, just for funsies. It's interesting how they just pass it off as though it was any other Pokemon game.

I still haven't played it because I'm lazy

Edit: Yeah, it was Bluesea, and also "Pokemon Frigo Returns", whatever that is. All I know is that they're both GBA games.

So uhh... am I going senile in my old age? Am I missing something here with the "get Battle Points from putting stuff in Pokebank" thing? Done that, nothing that would suggest I'm receiving BP, or any option that allows me to select between that or PokeMiles or whatever else.
