A 14 year old sophomore? Damn... :P

And yes, I'm aware that it teaches Java SE 1.6. Well, back when I took it it taught 1.4. Generics and autoboxing were a surprise to most of the class (not me, because I was already using 1.5 at the time). I'm talking more about techniques like reflection, the JSR 223 scripting language interface, I/O with files and sockets (Scanners are fairly elementary, I'm afraid), regular expressions, use of external libraries, things like that.

Well, someone with a willingness to learn. That's never a bad start. Also, sorry about calling you a freshmen, thought it was odd that a freshmen was taking AP computer science.
