Shall we redirect common glitch names to Glitchdex/(Game):XXX ?
« on: December 19, 2009, 01:05:12 pm »
What I'm a little concerned about are people from Bulbapedia when Project Phoenix got leaked making pages for e.g. Missingno and LM4 when they are documented on the glitchdex.

Should we redirect those names using #REDIRECT [[XXXXX]] to their glitchdex article? It could also make it easier to find an article the glitch pokemon you are looking for.
Hello. I actually identify as gender questioning, but nowadays feel more firmly that I identify as female. My sex is male but I like to express myself as female.  She/her pronouns, please.

Thank you TMTRAINER for my avatar and Aeriixion for the cute sprite! :) Roelof also made different variations of the sprite (which I animated).

Sounds like a good idea. Of course, I'm no staff member, but I don't see why not.

I've made a general page for Missingno with links to all the different hexes of Missingno on R/B/Y. It hasn't been approved yet though.

Sounds good to me. I believe I suggested this earlier.

Oh, all right was it an older thread? Sorry if it was quite recent because I would have posted this in that article instead.

This is why I groan whenever people add links to our projects on Bulbapedia. For example, Glitchdex 2 was linked on Bulbapedia months before it was ready to go public. There's a reason why we don't make things public before they're ready.

That said, yes, common glitch names should be redirected.

So it probably would have occurred in the future if we were able to take the development of the wiki nice and slow, but instead, we're rushed to finish it because everyone knows about it.

Uhh... I don't see any rushing.

What I mean is the public wants us to rush to get it done, but we obviously need to go at our own pace.

Though Missingno. Needs a disambunction of sorts
Why would it need a disambiguation page? Even if it has multiple HEXes, they're still the same Pokémon.

No, the last 3 MissingNos, hex-wise, are considered different enough to get their own pages. And then there's the one in Yellow, which is different from the one in R/B. You have Yellow, you should know that :P

They also have different cries. My site has a page listing them all.

But of course, the various MissingNo. ('M HYBRID)s are generally the same.
