PBASIC by parallax
« on: October 19, 2012, 07:33:48 pm »
this is a language based off of BASIC.
I'm looking to work with audio based programs with a Basic Stamp 2.

Any more info you'd like to throw in this topic?  It seems like a thought or two wasn't either put down or explained enough.

I'm bumped into these traversing the vast, untamed wilderness known as Google:

http://www.johnloomis.org/ece445/stamp/pbasic.htm

http://www.tjhsst.edu/~jleaf/tec/stamp/sttutor1.htm

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/PBASIC_Programming (several articles inside)

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to do exactly, but when I'm fiddling with music I use this excellent freeware called MuseScore. It supports composition for every instrument imaginable from piano to glockenspiel.

I would not use a BASIC stamp these days. There are many other microcontroller boards (including from Parallax) that let you use saner languages, like C.

One of my personal favorites is TI’s Launchpad, which costs less than $5.

yeah, i only own one microcontroller, and i slapped it on the guitar. I wasn't very knowledgeable on the market of micro processors at the time. I built this one, and it costed me 100 dollars in total.

By the way, i never knew TI had microcontrollers till now.
That's pretty fricken wicked, i might make another one just because of that.
