Multimedia Discussion / Film Parodying Twilight!
« on: July 10, 2010, 01:50:42 pm »
Oh, yes! Prepare to rejoice for this marvelous information, for there shall be a cinematic film titled Vampires Suck parodying the Twilight series, conveniently right after the Eclipse film! It shall be a true film scheduled to be released on August 18, 2010, I inform you, not just a regular spoof featured on YouTube, and it shall please both those who despise Twilight (such as myself) and those who adulate over it. In my opinion, it is quite hysterical and humorous, not to mention much more impressive than Twilight.

Generation I Glitch Discussion / Odd Audio Glitches
« on: June 18, 2010, 08:57:47 pm »
While encountering various "M blocks" inside of my Pokemon Blue Version to alter and observe my Hall of Fame data (I just did defeat the Elite Four yesterday!), I stumbled upon various audio glitches, which should be familiar to possibly every member present here. One segment of audio particularly interested me, a speed-decreased version of Cinnabar Island's theme. What was interesting about this is the fact that the sound and pitch of the composition sounded quite precise to the Gold and Silver versions of it. Unfortunately, I am incapable of posting the composition here, despite me filming it.
Have you ever before heard anything peculiar from the Hall of Fame glitch? I wonder if it is possible to encounter any beta songs from it, such as the Japanese Red and Green version of Lavender Town (link to original town theme, just for relevance; alternate tone can be heard:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m14Hj4L64ts?
Also, could someone possibly illuminate this concept for me on how it functions?

Generation IV Glitch Discussion / Re: Pokemon Platinum Glitch Help?
« on: June 18, 2010, 08:39:47 pm »
Actually, this reminds me of a glitch that I once discovered inside of Super Mario 64 DS, Version 1.1, involving that if you use the levitation and green shell codes inside of a Warp Zone at Bob-omb Battlefield while colliding with the ceiling, the game shall interpret this data as you still teleporting, thus causing the character and texture of the game to appear as it did during a particular sequence of teleportation.
If the building that was entered was a teleporting one, then the game could have interpreted the data as the player still inside of Amity Square.

[Quoting Torchickens!]Yes; that is correct, once the player enters e.g. the warps within Bob-Omb Battlefield's mountain the game should temporarily prevent the player from moving away, so that the game can realistically start the processes which make it appear that the player is about to warp (i.e. prevented movement, player is made partially transparent, etc), then after a short amount of time the game would make the player reappear elsewhere, it is only when the player reappears the textures/etc are reloaded back to their defaults. If you somehow manage to escape the warp area just after the game makes you translucent (not usually possible because of prevented controls), it won't warp you, hence the game won't set your character's texture back to its default again.

The reason why you might be able to move again after hitting the wall is that such abilities (movement with D-pad/touch screen) are re-enabled after the player lands on the floor from a collision, (or if the collision was from the ground and after about two seconds).
[Quoting Torchickens!]

Yes, that is basically the correct procedure to to perform it, including exiting the Warp Zone while you still remain translucent. Thank you for illuminating on that.

Generation I Glitch Discussion / Re: Possible New Cinnabar Glitch

Well, thank you for explaining some of it, despite the fact that I was aware of your name allowing various Pokemon to appear from the Old Man prior to this. I shall just attempt to post some of this onto a random page if I can.
Edit: Never mind, for I do not possess the time to compose an article on this. Feel free to perform it yourself.

Generation I Glitch Discussion / Possible New Cinnabar Glitch
« on: June 17, 2010, 08:44:29 pm »
Well, I am not entirely certain if this glitch has previously been discovered, yet if you visit any random location and fly to the Cinnabar Island land/surf strip without speaking to the Old Man, then the Pokemon from your previous location shall appear there, all at their normal levels. For instance, inside of my Pokemon Blue Version today, I entered the Cinnabar Mansion, and whenever I exited, I decided to surf down the strip. Apparently, I encountered a feral Ponyta, Level 32, inside of the water while surfing! I am not entirely certain if this functions similar to how your name data must be transported to the strip whenever "Old Man" replaces your name, so I would appreciate if someone could explain this location phenomenon to me.

Video Games/Glitches Discussion / Re: E3 2010 Discussion

Well, I am quite exhilarated by the fact that there shall be many recent promising platformers from Nintendo, despite the fact that they never have revealed Mother for the Virtual Console, nor shall they ever reveal it...
At least they introduced quite the games this year! I was actually expecting Pikmin 3 for this year, though.

Indeed, the hamster army consists of various nefarious rodents, each intending on conquering and enslaving all of humanity, murdering us if we do not agree to their sinister commands and conditions. The only rodents that I trust are rats, raccoons, and mice. Only a few hamsters (and gerbils) should be trusted. All we require now to exhibit our message of resistance and resentment to the hamster army is a major video game... The Legend of Zelda and the Hamsters of Evil...

Hey man. I'm Destinatus/soon to be Full Metal Glitch. I've just hit the recolor business, so I give you one as a sneak peek as to what I do in my Spriting thread in Art.
Why, thank you, Destinatus! It oddly reminds me of Lavender Town, my favorite town inside of the Pokemon series, concluding that I find your recolor to be quite adequate and fine.

Yes! There still remain various believers! I must thank each of you for welcoming me to the forums and realizing that the hamsters have actually obscured your vision to interpret them as "innocent and adorable". It is quite obvious that those Zhu Zhu Pet warriors and ninjas are encouraging our children to join the hamster army. Also, I believe that Suicune is either a wolf or a feral large feline.

Hello there, random humans who I have never met in my life! If you are basically unaware of my existence in this peculiar dimension of yours, then why not introduce myself? I am just a young boy interested by science, nature, fire, and Pokemon, each joys of my life everyday. I am currently an adversary to hamsters everywhere for no reason at all *coughtheyshallcorruptourveryexistencejustlikeanyglitchcough*, so I must wan you to monitor all actions performed by them. If you do notice any peculiar activity performed by any rodent, then please contact me through any methods available.
Now that we have the hamsters mentioned, why not commence the glitching and possible save file data corruption of my original Pokemon Blue? Hello, MissingNo.!  ;)

So Hamtaro WAS a warning...
No, not the horrid Hamtaro! That show is entirely full of political hamster propaganda, all designed for children to follow the commands of the brutal hamster army!
