That's good stuff, I found this video helpful for getting Celebi's egg moves though:
Well it worked from doing that. :) Kinda makes sense because I remember using ws m in Yellow for max DVs and that involved depositing and withdrawing the Pokemon after the code. Though to avoid confusion for others, maybe it should be written in the OP to deposit and withdraw the Pokemon afterwards.
7 Exeggcutes sounds like a pain. Isn't it pure headbutt-encounter?
4 Slowpoke and 2 Shuckle sounds doable, but requires Surf to get Slowpoke with >15% probability. Since it's not too far after Coin Case (story wise) I don't think it's a problem.

To be honest the whole process sounds like a pain.

I don't know if it's just me, but every Pokemon I have hatched from a egg has worked as a slide Pokemon and I find the Togepi you get especially useful as you can get it before you get to Goldenrod. So personally, I don't see the need for this long process to get the ultimate slide Pokemon. My egg-hatched slide Pokemon work perfectly after many many uses of the coin case.

I tested it and it worked for changing Pokémon 1's DVs all to 15, so it's possible you made a slight mistake somewhere. The x in the code here is the normal lower case one (not the multiplication x) and 0 is zero.

Well I tried again, but it didn't work. Screenshots with the correct box names and the last screenshot is my current party, the Togepi at the top is a clone of the slide Togepi in slot 3 which I performed the glitch on, but it did not max the DVs as you can see they both have 19HP, max DVs would be 20HP for a level 5 Togepi. I also performed the glitch on the Magikarp at the bottom of the party, but nothing. The glitch is only doing what I reported before - making a slight change to the DVs (turning female Pokemon male, so weirdly only affecting the Attack stat slightly, but not maxing them out) I'm using the DV calculator to determine what the max DVs would be.
Torchickens, have you had a chance to test your max DV code? I'm not knowledgeable in the code matters but I'm sure there must be slight error somewhere as it doesn't give max DVs.

No, it's not getting smaller and smaller. As strange as it may sound, it's actually growing.

''Most Online Today: 6. Most Online Ever: 1,488 (December 01, 2013, 01:09:56 am)''

This place is borderline dead and it's shame because its great learning about Pokemon glitches. But to say this place is growing when it averages 6 people online daily, when at one point this forum had nearly 1500 online, is hilarious.

Anyway as for the topic, I've never had Pokerus in the generation 3 games, only gen II and it was such long ago that I didn't even know much about it or the best ways to preserve it.
Then it's either one of these 3 things:

1) Not following the exact movement steps and pattern

2) Having a slide Pokemon that doesn't work

3) A small error in the box code names, even the tiniest error like writing d instead of 'd matters and it helps to check the box names multiple times.

Those are the only things that would get a black screen and most of the time it's number 3. I've obtained 29 Pokemon with this glitch so it definitely works, you just need to double check everything.

Togepi code would be:

Box 2: é'm2pp0p5

All the Pokemon codes are similar, just only the Box 2 code is different. So Togepi would use the same box formula as Celebi's in the OP, just with a different Box 2 name.

That's from DragonArbock's guide, so it might not be right, there are a few errors in his guide.
Then you will get a egg eventually, I've had that too and it took ages to produce eggs, I don't know if this is a VC issue. Never seemed to take this long to generate eggs in the original games.
Apologies for double posting, but I only need Delibird, Steelix and Kingdra left, but the codes are wrong in DragonArbock's guide and I can't seem to get the right ones.

Others are wrong too, like Scizor is written as: é'm2p0's5 in Arbock's guide, but that's wrong as the correct code is é'm2p0'r'v9 by SpunkyBandy.

The majority seem right though, just a few are wrong and I wonder if anyone can help.
Torchickens, do you know how to teach the moves Ice Beam, Flamethrower and Thunderbolt via Coin Case? Felt appropriate to ask in the ''competitive'' thread -  and sadly these moves are not available in Gold/Silver, only Crystal version got them through the move tutor. So for someone who has Gold/Silver but can't trade, Coin Case would be the only way to obtain them. And it's silly how few Pokemon actually learn them through level up, especially Thunderbolt which I think Pikachu is the only Electric type in the whole game to learn it through level-up.

Max DVs:

So I had a chance to test this. It changed the DV's of my Houndour, but it did not max the DV's.

My Houndour level 5 stats after using your code:

20 HP
11 Attack
9 Defense
13 Special Attack
10 Special Defense
12 Speed

But a max DV level 5 Houndour would be:

21 HP
12 Attack
9 Defense
14 Special Attack
11 Special Defense
13 Speed

So the code changed some DV's, I know that because it changed it from a female Houndour to a male, but it did not max them.
I'll be keeping that in mind~ how many steps does it take for the mon to develop its happiness value? And does it decrease if left in the box?

I'm curious, the box codes that let you change one mon to another, if you have an egg that is shiny (let's say it's a Wooper for example) and you alter it into a different mon (like Zapdos) via the box codes, would the egg result in a shiny Zapdos?

Happiness won't decrease if left in the box. And I'm not sure, but I think if the slide Pokemon gets any noticeable happiness increase then it will mess up the code, because the slide Pokemon has to be freshly caught or hatched with no stat experience and happiness is another one of those factors I guess.

However, I was using the coin case a lot yesterday with the same slide Pokemon and walking from the PC in Cherrygrove to outside the mart in Cherrygrove for coin cases glitches, when you repeat that enough times you're certainly walking a good number of steps, but still my slide Pokemon still worked. And today I was using the hatched Togepi as a slide Pokemon as a test and it worked, so I would certainly recommend freshly hatched Pokemon.

As for your question, I haven't messed around with shiny codes yet but if the first code changed the egg to shiny and then you changed the Pokemon species then it should still be shiny as that is determined by the DV's which are made when you use you shiny code.
Somebody named DragonArbock finished a list of codes for every Pokémon.

You can find it here:

This is useful, but there are some errors. I wanted to get a Skarmory and a Delibird, ended up getting a Houndour and Mantine, which was a time waster and not needed as I'm playing on Gold.

But the codes you and SpunkyBanky came up with have worked perfectly fine.

Today I've got:

Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Kabuto, Omanyte, Phanpy, Scizor, Porygon2.

And now I only need:

Gengar, Alakazam, Machamp, Golem, Politoed, Meowth, Ledyba, Vulpix, Totodile, Chikorita, Steelix, Slowking, Skarmory, Delibird, Kingdra, Celebi.

Posting so I know how many eggs I need to clone left. Because I cloned my Magby egg to hatch all these Pokemon and Magby has a 6500 steps hatch time, it's takes a annoying while to hatch these pokes. Maybe I'll just get a Magikarp egg and clone it so I can get quicker hatches. :'D

Happiness can effect the glitch?  :???:

Yes, Torchickens informed me of that and recommended to not walk too much with your slide Pokemon and put it in the PC when not using it. Though it seems because I had a tiny error with the box names, there was probably nothing wrong with my slide Pokemon but I still ended up releasing it thinking it had become useless, RIP Sentret.

But got it working with a freshly hatched Pokemon so all is good. I was just working on my Pokedex and breeding a Magmar to get a Magby and it turned out the Magby worked perfectly as a slide Pokemon, which is great, better then wasting time on Route 29 catching 20 odd Pokemon they may not even work for the glitch.
It worked yes! I too had written a d instead of a 'd in the box names haha.

And I used a freshly hatched Magby as my slide Pokemon, so maybe for those struggling with slide Pokemon try a freshly hatched egg Pokemon.
