I'm guessing that rule was removed following the reopening of the forums, as every thread on the forum was a couple years old at that point.

I didn't see any conformation, but idea related: http://forums.glitchcity.info/index.php/topic,6690.0.html

(For Gary/other actual rulemaker these days to see) Is this confirmed now?

I DON'T THINK THIS SITE COULD EVER BE WORKSAFE

It looks like the "Bump" rule is missing?

Quote from: rules
8.Stickies, by their nature, cannot be "bumped" and thus are exempt from this rule.

Above it, it doesn't define "Bump"ing, which may make this a bit confusing.

Do you not know what bump means...?

I kind of do.  I was only asking because I was re-reading the rules, and noticed that rule 8 was refering to a non-existant previous rule.
When I underline text, that usualy means I am using the [‍acroynm] tag to provide aditional information.  Hover over it to view.

Rules were updated back in May to fix the COMPLETELY broken formatting it had and to remove the temporary rule about posting in topics before maintenance happened.  Seems two of the bumping rule points got removed somehow so I added them back.

I'm guessing that rule was removed following the reopening of the forums, as every thread on the forum was a couple years old at that point.

If you can put what the rule would be into one line, sure.  Currently I removed parts of the second footnote in response.

edit: oh man, posting without capitalizing stuff is actually against the rules and that's the only way i've done it for years. that's awkward!

welp, truth be told you've got me there haha.

i'm more of the mind that if a given sentence is in actual english and it's legible, capitalization doesn't really matter. but yeah, i guess i should probably start using the shift key, though.

apparently not starting with this post. i dunno.

The grammar rules here have always been pretty dumb, and used mostly to laugh and make fun of specific unpopular members.

I think that the grammar rules are OK. For the correct capitalization part I am not sure if it's really needed, however, I think that correct capitalization helps to make our posts more readable and so should be encouraged personally.

I think that "For those new to English or those who are working to improve their grammar, an informative grammar guide is located here" may sound patronizing though, because people will have some knowledge to be able to read the posts here, and you cannot have one definitive informative grammar. It should probably be rephrased to something like "For people who want to improve their English, here are some small grammar tips".
Hello. I actually identify as gender questioning, but nowadays feel more firmly that I identify as female. My sex is male but I like to express myself as female.  She/her pronouns, please.

Thank you Myri for my avatar! Thank you Aeriixion for the cute sprite above! :) Roelof also made different variations of the sprite (which I animated).

Beyond all philosophies are the things that go best for you; what makes you feel content. It's important to always follow your heart, so unless you feel perfectly happy about it don't just follow something because it is popular, fits a style or is conventional. Sometimes you may reach a point you're not sure who you are, but as things settle I'm convinced things do work out in time.

This sounds much better to me as well. And we could recommend the English section of Stack Exchange, which has helped me on more than one occasion (e.g.: when I wasn't sure if I should use "at", "on", or "in" for a given expression).

OK. I have edited the rules to include my suggestion (rephrasing the improving English suggestion) and yours (adding Stack Exchange as a recommended place to ask questions and receive answers).

The “used mostly to laugh and make fun of specific unpopular members” part is what was dumb about them.

I think there should be a distinction between the forum title and description. They are both bold and I was confused that the link wasn't working. (the "forum rules" redirect)
