'Glitch Radio Channels' and list of dialogue. (Finished)

Using the code 01XXEECE when tuning into the Pokégear the next text shown on the screen will be any of the following:  Will try to keep updating this to see if there are any interesting results. Significant results underlined.

Thanks Glisp.  Yes, I tried finding a code to change the radio channel completely but I didn't achieve much except one crazy code that 'forces' blank radio stations to display a message which just seemed to crash the game every time.  Instead I just decided to have a search through the values that changed when I switched radio channels and found this code which altered the next message said on the radio.

When the code is turned off the game would continue the chain of messages and in a sense play the relevent radio channel. The interesting thing I find though is each of these texts seem to depend on another byte telling them what to display next, not always the next value in the current code.  That could maybe imply if these values are in the order they were defined in time that not all radio channels were worked on systematically the lucky number show may have been but the "repeating myself, ... gets to be a drag..." parts seem strange. When I turned the code off the game would just link back to 1E and continue the lucky number show as normal maybe Nintendo just didn't want that show to be annoying so cut some lines off  :D.

What if you tried the code in Kanto?

What if you tried the code in Kanto?

The radio stations in Kanto are still there; but the text the radio displays is still relevent to the code for giving 'constant values' of what text to make the radio station show and so it doesn't matter what region you are in.

My favourite findings so far:

5D:
Speeds up current music, similar to when the time falls below 100 on SMB.

CE:
Makes the screen repetitively  flash in nice shades of blue and green; don't try this if you suffer from epilepsy!!

A9:
Interesting result! Glitches the menu by spawning lots of lines and blocks; changes the text font slightly and keeps spawning 'the bottom part of a signpost image' on the text menu. This makes the game lag and slows down the music. Compare with 5D.

I'd love to see:

Also, is the Unown Channel on there anywhere? (If you tried glitching it at the Ruins of Alph, would the Unown Channel show up?)

29: ...Repeating myself (Beta?)
2A: gets to be a drag...

Hi, sorry to make such a passer-by comment, but I have something to say about this. For a long time I hunted down this text data ever since I started playing Pokemon Gold in 2000. I remember I would always come home on a Friday and check my Gameboy to see if I had won the lucky number that week. One time I left my Pokegear tuned to the Lucky Number show because I liked the music, I'm not sure how long I left my Gameboy for but it was plugged in at the mains and I went off to do something for a while. When I came back I saw those two lines on the scrolling text (I'd left endlessly scrolling). It was really bizzare and slightly scary because I had never seen this text before and no matter how long I left it after that, I never ever managed to recreate that event. I never used any gameshark or cheat cartridges etc. just the original shop-bought game.

I know this is slightly useless info, but I thought it's worth mentioning that there is definitely a way to see this text in the original Pokemon Gold games but it's only ever happened to me once. It wasn't until around 2007 that I found this text online and could console myself that I wasn't seeing things or had a haunted Game Boy =P

So yes, it's very curious, I've never been able to make this text appear. I thought perhaps if you leave it for an hour or something it would go past, but I did try that and never, ever saw it.

Sorry for the bump.

What is the code you described? VBA shows it as an invalid Gameshark code. And how do you change the hex numbers you described?
