I'll go for Cyndaquil. I used to have a Feraligatr on my Crystal (before my data went), it was useless, and I tried to raise a Chikorita before, on my Gold (my data died. ¬¬), and  I never got the chance to raise one, so Cyndaquil for me.

I'll pick Totodile, like I always do. I realized in the originals, that it was the best one to use, so I think it'll be just as good in these remakes.

Does nobody enjoy a challenge?
There's a difference between a challenge and starting off with a s**t Pokémon.

I normally pick the water starter, and this time will be no exception, especially since my first Gold file had an epic levl 100 Feraligatr.

EDIT: I picked Chikorita once, just for variety. It wasn't so bad.

All you have to know is cyndaquil is cyndaquil and you f**k with noone else. In other words, cyndaquil to the max.

Cyndaquil. I always get Fire-type starters.

Cyndaquil, because there aren't that many worthwhile other fire-types available in-game, and STAB fire attacks are always useful. Johto's starters are definitely mediocre compared to those of other games, though.

Cyndaquil, for looks and the fact I picked it originally.

Chikorita, the hardest choice.

I'm curious to see what starters people like. Personally I'm getting Cyndaquil, like I always do when faced with this choice.
