Title: Forum-linking articles?
Post by: Sherkel on June 16, 2009, 01:29:13 pm
Once again I will bring up the idea of having forum threads for many of the articles. This could replace what was the commenting system. I think talk pages should be more for discussing the page rather than what the page is about.

That, my friend is an awesome idea. It would also encourage people to become active members of the forum, rather than lurking about the main site, kind of like I did for the first month.

This is very possible and is a good idea. I'll consider it.

Since the old commenting system closed due to spam, I think that we should have heavy moderation on it if we have it.

Or atleast require a account to comment/post/whatever.

Absolutely fantastic proposal. I only joined the forums when the comment system got spammed up (with my old username in at least one article) and the shoutbox was broken, so having a tie to the forums on the main site would probably convince more people to stop lurking and join.

The admins seem to have a lot on their hands at the moment.
