Is this common knowledge yet or is the general Pokemon community unaware of this? I'm just thinking of all the trading forums that could have their economy absolutely destroyed by members figuring out how to, basically, obtain unlimited event Pokemon.

Do people actually use that method? I prefer downloading wonder cards and injecting them via pkhex myself, I figured most people did it that way.
Just checking in to confirm everyone else's frustration with MissingNo. in Yellow, damn that red/green line freeze up! So can anyone confirm a special of 182-184 are the magic numbers? It's going to take a long time to get a special that high. If anyone has a better solution, please share, because I really need to duplicate these TMs. My Flareon is sad with no fire moves. I don't care about masterballs or rare candies.

I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone here, but this is incredibly immature and it's nothing I wouldn't expect from YouTubers (the ones who are responsible for the dreaded "youtube comments.") So what if I couple of 11-15 year olds who oppose Youtube's new channel design don't log in for a few days?

The internet changes all the time. I remember back in the day what AIM, YIM, and MSNM looked like, and even though I disliked the upgraded versions at first, it soon became a standard. Youtube will succeed with their new channel designs, whether you like it or not, because everything changes eventually.
Emulation & ROM Hacking / Re: lets name emulators

Before I had a job and money, I just emulated NES/SNES/Genesis games. Now, I buy the cartridges (unless its like EarthBound or Chrono Trigger >:( ) but before I started buying the real things, I used:

Genesis - Gens
Gameboy/Advance - Visual Boy Advance

I haven't emulated video games in years.
Video Games Discussion / Re: Greatest Game EVER?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the greatest game ever. It was my first video (it came with my Genesis) and has always been my favorite. The graphics, the levels, the music....they're all so beautiful. My favorite zones are Metropolis Zone, Hill Top Zone, and Mystic Cave Zone.

The "pokepun" that really makes me want to go on a killing spree is the frequent use of members at my forum using "Wynaut?" instead of "why not?" Thankfully that usage has died down considerably, but I never pass up the moment to tell said member that using "wynaut" instead of "why not" is not only unfunny, but that severely hurts their chances to ever become a well respected member.
Multimedia Discussion / Re: Worst T.V. shows?

Pretty much anything on TLC nowadays. After Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network went down the crapper TLC and the Discovery Channel were two of the only channels worth watching anymore. A few years later, really crappy shows like Say Yes to the Dress and What Not to Wear started appearing. What?! I thought TLC was The Learning Channel, not the fashion channel. Shows that have been plaguing American television for years now are STILL on like American Idol and The Bachelor, so R.I.P. TV.

And I didn't like Ed Edd & Eddy like....ever. I loved Johnny Bravo, Power Puff Girls, Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc. but I never liked Ed, Edd, and Eddy or Dexter's Laboratory.

It doesn't really mean anything. I've dreamt of all kinds of weird stuff from giant apes stomping my town to the ground to little midgets riding on a train (I live next to a train track) throwing magic dust at stuff and turning them into tornados.

But then again, I'm also largely afraid of gorillas and tornados, so maybe that had something to do it with. Did you watch any Godzilla movies as a kid that scared you?

Congrats on graduating by the way.

Emulation & ROM Hacking / Monster Brain and G/S Ball
« on: June 08, 2009, 06:13:36 am »
I have a Monster Brain (it's a GBC accessory that lets you edit your save file from RBY/GSC and back up the saved data) and I cheated to get a GS Ball in Crystal. I'm not through the game yet but I'm in Azelea Town right now. I tried giving the ball to Kurt but no luck, he wouldn't take it. Then I tried putting it in the shrine to activate the Celebi event....still no luck. Is there any other item I need for this? Or is it like R/S where you have to activate the event with a separate Gameshark code? Or do I need to beat the game first?

I've tried Google and came up with nothing, just a code to buy the GS Ball and stuff. I really don't want to buy a GBC Gameshark because they're so expensive on eBay, so maybe someone can help me out?

Nevermind, posted it in the wrong forum.
This is a hard one, since Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis are my two favorite consoles. Growing up I had a Genesis and lots of disney games and Sonic games, and I enjoyed every single one of them (even the extremely hard Lion King.) I didn't get an SNES until I was old enough to buy stuff on eBay, but I previously played most of the games on emulators. Both consoles have a great library of games, and both are capable of great platforming (my favorite genre), so determining my favorite is almost impossible. However, if I had to choose only one, I say Sega Genesis because I grew up with it and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was my first game.
Video Games Discussion / Re: What consoles do you own?
« on: June 07, 2009, 06:08:52 am »
I have:

Nintendo Entertainment System (new 72 pin connector 8))
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Sega Genesis
Nintendo 64
PlayStation 2
PlayStation 1 (somewhere :P )
Nintendo Wii

I own an Atari 2600, but I didn't mention it because I've only played it once (its kinda hard to hook up and I think one of the cords is messed up anyway....) and honestly I don't really play my Wii much at all. I'm still waiting for Nintendo to make a good game for it. Lately I've been playing my Genesis a lot, because I never get tired of buying dirt cheap games for it.
Video Game Glitches Discussion / Re: sonic glitch video thread
« on: April 04, 2008, 01:44:40 pm »
A lot of people know of this glitch, but I'll post it anyway. I made a video of the "infinite score" glitch a few weeks ago, it can be found here. I used hypercam to record it, so the sound is kinda drowned out. >:( It's Sonic 2 Beta (Wai version).
