Generation I Glitch Discussion / Kannon's Glitch Pokemon Analysis
« on: August 06, 2008, 10:12:42 pm »
Hello folks, Glitchers and whatnot, I, being bored, have decided to put together my like of Pokemon glitches, and the competitve battling skills of yours truly. With this, I bring you the:

Today, we have the two (yes two) pokemon that single handedly brought the term "Glitch Pokemon" to use here today.

Yes, they share an analysis because they have the same stats and moveset other than MissingNo gets Substitue and 'M gets pound (sounds like he was ripped off) Onto the base Stats

From Bulbapedia (Well, Melchior is down, and we don't have their BASE stats, so stop booing)

HP: 33
Attack: 137
Defense: 1
Special: 29
Speed: 6

You see his enormous attack, and then nothing else. But, I have a moveset here for him:

Set 1:
"Sweep? No."

Double Edge/Tri Attack
Thunder Wave
Seismic Toss/Bubblebeam

This MissingNo set tries to sweep something with it's crap defences and speed, and massive attack stat. Bubblebeam is there mainly because of the speed drop, although if there were an R/B/Y stat calculator, I could see what it could do against the likes of Onix, who you should be Earthquaking anyways. Thunder Wave is there because of a switch, although you should use MissingNo only when their entire team is already a combination of Paralysed, Sleeping (not from rest) and frozen. Double Edge is for STAB, although with his Crap HP, you might consider the weaker Tri Attack, if only for no recoil. Earthquake is for Gengar/Rock types (because Gengar doesn't get levitate in R/B/Y) And Seismic Toss for consistient Damage against stuff that can take your other attacks. It's a shame he doesn't get Hyper Beam for a finisher (It's glitched in R/B/Y)

Counters: Anything with an attack and more than base 7 speed (everything)

Opinion: He has good attack, but so does Dragonite, and Dragonite has a move pool and defenses. And a learnset. Don't catch one of these unless you collect useless pokemon, and use him just for your infinite item cheat, it's all he's useful for.

Yes I did just copy/paste this of of Sparta, but it's my work anyways.
Approved Submissions / Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Succubus Glitch
« on: July 25, 2008, 04:31:47 pm »
The Succubus Glitch is a glitch in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow that lets you get into inaccessible areas or break the sequence of the game by getting to some places before you should be able to, or get past sealed doors without the proper seals, and even get Julius mode powers as souls in Normal mode.

To do this glitch, you need one of the daggers with a back-stab special (a Cutall, or Cindequeia, I'll just refer to it as a Cutall) and the Succubus bullet-type soul both equipped.  First, you activate the Succubus soul, and  right after Soma does the hug, use the special on your Cutall you will still have the red aura from the Succubus soul, so do three quick normal stabs with the Cutall, and use the back-stab special again.  If done right, the red aura will dissappear while you're in the or behind the wall, and cancel out the rest of the attack, forcing you upwards if you're in the wall, and allowing you to reach some areas before you normally could get to them, allowing you to achieve a low game percentage.

this is a tutorial on how to do the Succubus Glitch

Using the Succubus Glitch in the first save room in The Abyss to go through the back wall, you will be forced out the wall, like normal.  But there's no room behind or above the save room, so you'll scroll upward continuously through the map.  Every time the screen flickers, perform a slide kick.  Soon enough, you'll stop scrolling and you can "run" back to the save room, ending up in the room just outside it, with all weapons, souls, Julius' whip, Alucards Sword, and several Julius mode sub weapon/spells as souls.

This is the glitch described above.
Rate My Team / My D/P team
« on: May 29, 2008, 09:04:38 pm »
This is what my D/P team consists of, for the benefit of those skeptical about my ability to rate pokemon teams, let alone make any.

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Careful nature
EVs: 252 HP 140 Atk 116 SpDef
Pain Split

My starter, he basically screws whatever comes in by either taunting it or Burning it.  Prusuit is for actual damage and hits harder for when they switch out to get rid of the effects of taunt or keep their HP when burned

Marowak @ Thick Club
Rock Head
Jolly Nature
EVs: 6 HP 252 Atk 252 Spd
Fire Punch
Rock Slide
Double Edge

My Physical Sweeper, he fucks up whatever's in with whatever's super effective against it. and Thick Club > Choice Band/Life Orb

Cradilly @ Leftovers
Suction Cups
Careful Nature
EVs: 252 HP 164 Def 92 SpDef

My Annoyer/Wall, paired with Sandstorm, he can take hits like a champ and f**k with them using Toxic

Metagross @ Choice Band
Clear Body
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 HP 244 Atk 12 Def
Meteor Mash

Meteor Mash for STAB, Earthquake for general principle, Pursuit for switchers, Explosion when he's almost dead.  Backup sweeper

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Adamant Nature
Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk 6 Def 252 Spd
Swords Dance

Will-O-Wisp attackers, set up swords dance, sweep.  Pursuit is for stuff that can't kill him (mostly in Ubers)  Also, 100% Kyogre counter, ftw

Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest Nature
Flash Fire
EVs: 40 HP 252 SpAtk 216 Spd
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse

My Special Sweeper, he basically does what Metagross does, but from the Special side of the spectrum.

This is to show all those hypocritical newbs that I am in fact, good at rating teams, and making them, I just follow harsher criteria than everyone else on this forum does.  Feel free to criticize with Constructive ideas for my team, not things like "onoz it r Kannon, he r teh sux so is his team lolololol"

« on: May 29, 2008, 04:18:38 pm »
umm... shut up with those criticizing quotes Kannon. -_- I don't give a s**t because I'm not using it on D/P
and my Red team, well, .4's super glitch moves are different, didn't you know that?
I'm trying to get rid of those super glitches, but I've tried some of them and the effects are funny, not really "Game ruining"

If you didn't want it rated like it should have been, don't post it.  The whole point of these boards is to see what others think of your team and how they think it can be improved. So stop PMSing because I actually do a half-assed job of observing your team in the competitive meta-gaming mind and get over it.  And Super Glitch scrambles the RAM, and ruins your game if it goes on too long, so yes, it is game ruining, just not right away or all the time
Mario Submissions / SM64DS Glitch FAQ paraphrasing project
« on: February 18, 2008, 01:32:15 pm »
I've found an FAQ with literally hundreds of tested and proven glitches for Super Mario 64 DS.

Loads of helpful information for Project Caspar.  Hope it brings us forward in the realm of Mario glitches

Note: I did not make/contribute to this in any way, shape, or form.  I just found it on GameFAQs.  All credit goes to the creator (Swordless Link) and those who helped him with it
TwinNeedle (WOOH! Pinsir with STAB!)
Swords Dance

(I may just use 007's Electrode set up, or use this)
Recover (or something else)

The Dumpster Out Back / Re: Gym Leaders
« on: November 24, 2007, 09:49:34 pm »
If the Gym Leader option is still open, I would like to be the 7th Gym leader

Would I have to use a specific type, or could I use any pokemon I want, as long as they're in the game?

The Dumpster Out Back / Mafia game!
« on: April 29, 2007, 11:27:22 pm »
A game on another forum I go to.  It's actually simple and fun.  Let me explain the roles.

Civillian- the standard role, can vote who to lynch

Mafia- PMs me who they want to kill (in the game, of course), can vote who to lynch.

doctor- Pms me who they want to protect from the mafia, can vote who to lynch.

The two kinds of rounds:
Lynching round- joined people post (in here) who they want to lynch
Mafia round- the mafia(s) vote who to kill via PM and the doctors vote via PM who to save
if more than one mafia you'd have to make a list of people like this

Mafia one:
person 1 (3 points)
person 2 (2 points)
person 3 (1 point)

Mafia two:
person 2 (2 + 3 = 5 Points)
person 3 (1 + 1 + 2 points)
person 4 (1 point)

Person 2 gets killed by the mafia, unless doctor voted to save them, then nothing happens

joining ends may 1st 4 p.m. (on-the-header time)

any question then ask me in this topic.

I am Glitchby, the Kirby king of glitches!
I just joined this forum and is one of three forums I am on at this moment.
I enjoy finding but, mostly doing, glitches! (and Kirby, don't forget Kirby)
Also, if there are avatars usable on this site (haven't checked yet.) I'd like one where a kirby appears to a Red/Blue/Yellow trainer and it says 'Wild GLITCHBY appeared!'

Thanks inadvance and I know I'm going to enjoy this place
