OH! That makes total sense. I'm sorry.
That makes a lot of sense to why it was warping me to random places outside the maps (like the void) :)

Thank you very much :)

I'm going to ask a stupid question...what is the map code for the map ID taking from? I'm unsure if its actually the map ID...
I probably just don't know how to use it, but I'm trying to use the map ID code: 01XXC0CD.

But no matter what I do, it does not produce the expected parameters. For instance, I put in, 04 instead of xx, and it does take me to ROUTE_1_GATE_1F, but then the warps go haywire and takes me to an old couples house, and then to the void, but not in old town...

Then I tried using 16, and instead of taking me to Old town, it takes me to sugar town, and then takes me to a house(call center?) in West town, then it takes me silph co(?), then to a kids house, then to the void. I apologize, I'm just confused...

It's known that the Time Capsule works in the protos, not sure if it's documented. I understand that there aren't any protections to trade Gen 2 mons/moves/etc like in the final, but I'm not sure how it ends up.

The Gen 2 beta mons generally end up in gen 1 as glitch monsters that make Cthulu weep. But they are oddly allowed into Gen 2 production versions, in my experimentation, but end up as the Pokedex numbers of their original versions, so snubble would probably end up being Lugia or something, whereas, as described above, kruz, turns into totodile. If I misunderstood your statement, I apologize.
Generation II Glitch Discussion / mapper in gold beta is bugged?
« on: June 14, 2018, 08:15:14 am »
hihi, me again...

Ok, so it seems like the mapper is bugged in the gold beta. I can give a link to a video of this that I posted to youtube, (but I don't want to advertise per se) but I was fiddling around and I found that if you summon a familiar(npc that follows you) then warp to a new map, the familiar will stop moving. I also found that if you move around too much, the game will crash. This probably happens due to the coordinates being skewn as with the familiar. If you open the mapper mode, and then exit out, after the first or second time, the coordinates that the mapper locks onto will bypass the boundaries and occasionally, into a glitch city. (as in glitch city, not an alpha city that is glitched)

The way to bypass the crash without entering the mapper to leave the traditional map boundaries is to summon another familiar, this restores the coordinates. Chances are the code for the familiar is always stored at relative coordinates 5A FC or thereabouts. as a result, when the familiar is summoned, nothing happens, but it messes with the default code when warping and the mapper locks onto that coordinate instead of yours. That's my working theory.

What do you guys think?
(sorry, meant to post this in gen 2 glitch discussion)

EDIT: I just did this again in silent hills and it broke the camera, It stopped moving entirely.

I don't think so, it'd make sense that its not immune. It does seem to have some kind of protection against trading glitched pokemon to it though. if it has super glitch, then all I need to do is have it view the pokemon, the trouble seems to be getting it to be able to view it :/
I've tried a number of ways, and what ends up happening is that the games pokedex gets messed up(the beta) and the map is demolished leaving me only 1 tile to stand on, and I can't move, even with the betas walking through walls.
I'll try to trade a pokemon with superglitch, since I may have located one, to the beta tomorrow...(or get it to view it)

Is it known that you can trade beta pokemon to red and blue/yellow and green and by extension silver/gold/crystal(I presume)? I can detail that extra step thats needed to open the connection if desired :)

edit: Unfortunately, it was a failure, I know that something is causing the beta to freak out, I just don't know what it is. Superglitch has a legit move in its slot in the beta, so its not that.

According to Bulbapedes, it was called "Kabichuu" in the final version as well, with no agreed-upon meaning. I'm very curious about what else might result from trades between this and the retail games!

I was under the impression that teru-samas were literally called teru-samas but in hiragana in the Japanese version, no wonder I didn't find anything. I think that it's possible that all beta pokemon will bring over a kabichu. Apparently if it's tossed then it sounds like it's used, which naturally can bring great confusion.

With the beta tried to trade a Charizard M from red and unfortunately it didn't work. When I got out of the trade room, the beta was MASSIVELY glitched. Very similar to Charizard M's initial effect in English red. I do know of a way to check that effect though...a long time ago, I traded a glitched Mewtwo turned Bulbasaur (wtwo) and it had super glitch. I could replicate that in the Japanese version, since connection from the beta to the English red caused havoc, as to be expected. I'll see what I can do :)

Long time no see lol...
I was playing around with the pokemon gold beta and I found some interesting things that I am unsure if its cataloged or not, such as that you can trade to a classic red and blue/yellow, but not to retail silver or gold. While finding that I found that you can by extension get these beta pokemon into silver or gold retail versions, but predictably, they will change from, for example, kruz, to totodile. But the more interesting thing is that silver will allow it, despite these being fully glitched pokemon in classic red. So, my question about teru-sama is, what is this item? it was on the beta kruz pokemon that I sent over to red, then to silver. I tried to make sense of it since I''m studying Japanese, but I was unable to beyond that it may be an item for raising affection(which I don't recall there being a way to do in gen 1 or 2) Can anyone take a look and possibly tell me what it is?

Also, I'll include pictures of the beta kruz being sent to silver incase anyone wanted to see.
this stuff is probably already categorized, but I figured I'd post "just in case"

kruz 1:
kruz 2:
kruz 3:

Edit: a minor other note I found is that SOME cheat codes from the English pokemon silver or gold are compatible with the beta. nothing important like walking through walls, but things like making the sprites disappear.

Here's the file.
I've been wanting to give this type of thing out for a while, but I was unable to.
I tested the file personally on my phone and on VBA as well as TGBDual.
It didn't work on TGB Dual.
Curiously though you don't want to mix save files or states with the NTSC version.
the NTSC/NTSC-J files register with one another, but they kinda really screw things up....
Last I checked anyway....

Have fun with the file.

PS: btw cheat codes also transfer, but reasonably.
WTW for instance is the same for both versions. RED-NTSC and RED-NTSC-J
donno about Blue.
Since i don't legally own a copy of Blue in any language I can't test it.

EDIT: to get wtw active in pretty much any map that is not surrounding Red with freeze tiles, go to slot 62 in the pokemon menu, and just switch it with itself, it should be a golbat.
its kinda creative with that....for pallet, you have to go to viridian, then walk like....5 steps to the left from the sign saying "viridian city" (village) and then go down.

Its mainly you find where the line of freeze tiles(or lack thereof)  is, then you go around it.
If I'm able to, I'll make a video of it and show what I mean.

Actually, I haven't uploaded data on it yet, unless you mean the video from a while back where a US pokemon Red is regenerating a save file via an emulator, or something (still haven't found out how) or someone else has something like that, I'm not sure what you mean.

This .sav is on my phone, so its hard to record it, and people are cursing me out so often that I'm starting to wonder if its worth it.

I also say pretty much everytime its brought up, not to do it on a cart.
Its too dangerous for the cart...
Generation I Glitch Discussion / a saved ZZAZZ on JP RED?
« on: July 18, 2012, 01:32:10 am »
Hey everyone, I recently beat a JP file on pokemon red JP and started glitching on it....
Pretty normal, but something amazing happened that defies ALL pokemon glitch physics I know of...

The ZZAZZ file I was using saved itself!!!!
I know its a JP file, and its different, but even a JP file never saves itself...

I mean, this file, I'm pretty sure is an SAV that is stable with the pokedos cartouche enabled!

According to what I am aware of, this shouldn't be possible...
Any ideas on how it is? Or am I missing something???

Thanks :)
As far as I can tell, you can walk out of many glitch cities via wtw, as well as walk into them, for me, I turned on wtw via the pokedos cartouche, and was able to leave the original glitch city via going south a ways, after going to the top before the freeze tiles, and it led me to Pallet town, if I remember correctly.

Also, there is some consistency with route 11, the Route under lavander, and Vermillion...
Go to vermillion, walk through the wall behind the Machop, and then continue over water, keep going in a straight line and you will enter the normal route below lavander...
Generation I Glitch Discussion / Re: Did I find something in ZZAZZ?

actually, those are fairly normal glitchy effects for charizard M' or rather "teh zazzorz" in my experience at least.
I think I featured that in a glitch video of mine.
or maybe I didnt....I dont remember...
Any relation to RSF Nightmare City or Super Mario war?
(mario world war:
(nightmare city:
Probably not...:(
Take a look at basically anything on my youtube channel for that.
especially that darned Kappa.

All of those should give you something to work with provided its pokemon related.

My youtube channel is "kuriatsu"
