I suppose if people were flocking to centralized sites like Tumblr, Facebook, etc, then that would explain why forums including GCLF are less active.

I wonder if anyone would actually be interested if I started a roleplay thread on GCLF. I find that roleplays work better on forums, but the only forums I even go to nowadays is this one.

The good thing about the Xbox One is that I can refer to the original Xbox as "Xbox -1" for the sake of brevity and clarity.
I have the feeling that if Generation I was removed from existence, this website would cease to exist.

That said, if I /had/ to get rid of a generation, it'd probably be Generation IV.

I hope it's a Dragon-type. It's been a theory of mine for a long time, and I'm not sure if I could justify a non-Special (fire, water, electric, dark, psychic, grass, ice, dragon) typed Eeveevolution in canon; it just seems too much of a slippery slope of some sort.

I'm interested in what the region in Generation 6 will be like. I hear it's based off of France, and I plan to make an RSEFrLg-style region map of it.

Anyone think these dome-shaped buildings are related to a villainous team?

Also, stickied the thread to take the place of the older "Generation V confirmed" thread.

Thread unstickied because Generation VI has been long confirmed.

I don't even bother with CAPTCHAs anymore as I strongly suspect humans are paid to solve CAPTCHAs now.
General Discussion / Re: The dream thread

One of my dreams today was set in a post-apocalypse in the future. I basically woke up there and found myself in a ruined, flooded city. A layer of water 2 feet deep stretched for miles, and wrecked skyscrapers surrounded me. I was hungry so I went to search for food, wading across the water, and an old man pointed me over to an alcove section of the old city, where a guy was tending to some edibles.

All that was available to eat was some mutated taffy that grew on a wooden board. These came in red, blue, green, yellow, and white, and appeared to grow despite not being supplied mass in the form of nutrients. I took off a red piece of taffy and ate it, and the guy had to tell me not to eat it all. After a bit I picked bits off of the candy stuck to the board, and placed these bits across the board in order to allow them to grow bigger, and the dream ended.

Carl Miller, if you see this post, I've moved the etherpad off Infinitypedia.

Here's the link:

You can also access Infinitypedia at but the wiki is currently locked from editing.

I wonder if some forums limit the number of formatting tags you can use in a post, because color tags can be amazingly abusable. At the same time, it's not likely anyone would do this, nor have I seen people do this, because it's relatively difficult to do such a thing.

Best viewed on a dark background.

Alternatively, for a much more visible effect on these white forums, have some rainbow text to show how extremely abusable [color] can be.

What do you mean by "real politics"?

I did mention that issue somewhere a week or two ago... good to know someone sorted it though :P

Anyway, how's it going, Mu? You seem to be very good at disappearing...

I'm doing fine. Been playing Kingdom Hearts lately. And yeah, I'm never really active on GCLF.

I just blanked Infinitypedia because voldernauts were still trying to spam the site even with the database locked. I'll just leave it that way for a while in hopes they go away. I still need to figure out how to clean up the spam pages (and probably the user accounts as well).

It's still September though... =/

Yeah, I've been extremely unfocused lately.

I don't know what Voldernauts are but you didn't answer my question. Of course, thanks to CJ Miller, whom is pissed you kicked him out for whatever reason told me where the channel was.

Voldernaut = spam bot.

Also, I didn't read your post because it was the middle of the night and your post was from September.

So Infinitypedia had voldernauts spamming on it practically every second, and I ended up locking the database. (They're still going to attempt to access it, aren't they?)

I suck at being an admin that keeps things alive, sue me.

As an aside, it would be funny if real volternauts were somehow lured to a PvP MMORPG where they proceeded to be used as grind material by the resident players.

That is, I think voldernauts would make for a great random encounter in a (silly) RPG. I wonder how well MMO-roguelikes work out...

"A wild VOLDERNAUT attacked!"
