Title: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Glitches
Post by: Sasara on September 25, 2006, 07:01:31 pm
Post glitches you find here! It can be a small glitch, like the Amazing Man glitch in Pokemon RBY. Any sort of glitch works here.

cuation using the player and partner modifyer.
Most pokemon wont work at the scene were u get ur house resualting int he game waiting for a pose but failing to get one, kinda like in fe8, if tethy's uses a spell twice in one attack the game will wait till she will stop doing her dance but it will wait endlessly!
To solve the problem before u finish the 1st dungeon activate a code that turns you into lets say "bulbusuar"  if you go up/down stairs in a dungeon will solve the problem!Stay a bulbusuar till ur done thunderwave cave THEN turn back to the desired pokemon.

Anyways decoy is the decoy stat effect that happends when u user a certain orb(I dont know the name) It has no attacks and in battle they dont move to anybody they are a "decoy" but there cant be 2 decoys on the map at once so it turns the previous one back into a pokemon.Technicly its a stat effect but its also a pokemon.

Munchlax is more beta then a glitch. He has no attacks but it semi functional after MINOR conditions.First use the leaderr code which u use at the start of the game to make your leader snorlax then as soon as u get the chance use the code to turn into a bulbusuar if you go up the stairs, and keep being  a bulbusuar till you finish the magnemite mission(thunderwave cave) then use a code to turn into munchlax when you go up stairs!Congratulations you got a beta starter(he even has his starter pokemon icon but u cant play as him as him RIGHT FROM THE BEGGINING cuz he has no sleep animation for at the beggining of the game)If taken to wish cave he will get the move "item-throw"
I have been screwing with munchlax lately and I plan to screw with him more since I love snorlax which means I love munchlax! He is a big voice pokemon and his type is phychic and his ability is pressure. His friend area is none and his size is *(1 star)
(http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/5387/munchlaxtakemeqa5.th.png) (http://img139.imageshack.us/my.php?image=munchlaxtakemeqa5.png)
When I talk to munchlax he sais"Take me to ??????, please!
Now I am in wish cave testing out Item-Toss,its max pp is 96 and if used it said "The move failed" munchlax's current rest stats is
hp:7
atk:1
def:1
sp atk:1
sp def:1
iq:1
Munchlax learns litterally NO attacks, not even with tms and he cant even learm vacum cut, which if i did enough research ALL pokemon learn it.
Belive it or not he actually successfully can evolve into a snorlax!Even though it always sais "not now" he CAN evolve.Just look at this vid as proof!
http://rapidshare.de/files/35279742/clip0203.avi.html
Not only that but his evolution is fully functional!

(http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/6503/munchlaxicongh2.th.png) (http://img512.imageshack.us/my.php?image=munchlaxicongh2.png)Now the thing that made me luagh like hell!

Also if you didnt know munchlax has a victory pose!It seems he WAS going to be a starter but they thought 4th generation pokemon wouldent work out =(

next...
I just used a gamesave on game faqs(the 1 were you have beaten the game and u have a zapdos)
and I checked the friend area's of pokemon and 1 of them is
[img=http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/7606/prrtglitchsn6.th.png]http:// (http://img406.imageshack.us/my.php?image=prrtglitchsn6.png)

I bet the munchlax-starter thing isn't because they wanted him to be a starter.
Munchlax can appear at the "sqware" every now and then. That means he has a ummm..... Lets call them "Head Shots" Since there a snapSHOT of a HEAD. Since you can see him in the sqware, and talk to him, then, he has a Head Shot, just like bellspout or snubull. So i bet you could make it any pokemon with a "Head Shot"!

It'd be funny with deoxys though

There is a Missingno. in Mystery Dungeon. Put in the hex codew proceding Deoxys and you'll get a shadow Kangaskahn. It's called the coal pokemon.

i think you can see it when you use substitute.
Believe me, I've seen decoy before. It happens when you eat a certain seed that confuses your vision. All the pokemon look like decoy and all the items look like lollipop things...:P

EDIT: Grammers are fixed.

Missingno. and 'M aren't evil. They were hated and so they lived in hidden areas and they will attack fiercely against anyone who enters their territory. That's why they have some Missingno.s don the guise of normal Pokemon, and they were raised to high levels.

EDIT: Typos removed, you spelled Missingno. wrong, and Missingno. is only in R/B/Y, not G/S/C/Ru/S/E/D/P/Mystery Dungeon/Ranger/Colosseum/XD/whatever.

I found a glitch while doing purity forest.  I was Tyrannitar and there was a keckleon in the room, and I saw that Tyrannitars' Sand Veil ability was hurting Kecleon, so I waited there until Keckleon died.  I then picked up the stuff he had.
and the dead Keckleon said his "Help! Thief! I've been robbed!" thing. I freaked out and started running every which way trying to find the stairs.  But, no Keckleons ever came.  I was surprised.  After the while it took me to find the stairs, nothing else really happened.  This was on Blue rescue team.

Are these codes for the DS version and do these codes work on the action replay DS?

I don't know if this is the place for Mystery Dungeon 2 glitches, but...

I found this site that generates wonder mail. All of the ones I've done so far have worked. Well, one of the things allows you to generate wonder mail where the reward is an egg and in the generator you can specify what kind of pokemon comes from the egg. Well, one of the possibles on the list was decoy. I don't know if it works or not, but here is a code where you have to rescue an Abomasnow to get an egg that hatches into a female decoy.

85NQ #RP2 @+6P
0XHC 6647 %0HN

I'm too afraid to try it myself, though. Don't know if it will crash the game or not.

If you use a Wonder Mail code that lets you arrest an outlaw in Mystery Dungeon 2 with a client other than Magnezone, it would show the picture of the client you said instead of Magnezone's pic.

I found this site that generates wonder mail.

Would said site be www.upokecenter.com ?

If so, I can give you direct links to a Mystery Dungeon 2 Wonder Mail Generator (http://www.upokecenter.com/games/dungeon2/guides/wondermail.php) and an original Mystery Dungeon Wonder Mail Generator (http://www.upokecenter.com/games/dungeon/guides/wondermail.php).

I have MD2 (both versions) and MD: Blue Rescue Team as ROMs, so I could test the Wonder Mail that generates the Decoy for you ..

Which is supposed to happen, it's a part of the game.

And on the subject of the Decoy, it acts just like another Decoy.  When you talk to it it says 'Decoy can't talk right now'  and when you finish the mission the game locks up.

On the note of glitches, it seems that Kecleons killed by outside means (Sandstorm, Hail, ect.) still say the "Help! Thief! I've been robbed!" thing after he's dead and still no Kecleons come after you.

I know some codes (For PMD2 Time) from Neoseeker that turns the team leader into a Statue (Kangaskhan Rock) and a Decoy(????????)(I think it was 9 ?'s).

Stats for both are:

Statue
Type: Water
Ability: Drizzle
Movesets: I still don't know

?????????(Decoy)
Type: Steel
Ability: Pressure (?)
Movesets: Also unknown to me

I could try training but it will be another time.
And no, these codes did NOT freeze my game.

This might be a glitch in Pokemon mystery dungeon 2. I did not discover this "glitch" but I discovered the video.

Still, the thing with the Kecleon is a noteworthy glitch...muahahaha I am going to have fun stealing from him!  >:D. I should probably use that website with the wonder mail generating to find more glitches, that seems to be a door opened for lots of possibilities.

I wouldn't call the Wonder Mail things Glitches, they're far more comparable to hacking, seeing as they come from an outside source, and they're certainly not a programming oversight.

Anyone have any good Explores of Sky glitches? There are none that I found on this site unless I am mistaken. Also, are there any exploits I can do without a AR or GS?

I've noticed a distinct lack of major glitches being researched recently, given that most games coming out these days are relatively glitch free. I've started a major project in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness to fix this. My project is to gather a large amount of information about glitch pokemon in these games, and compile it into one place (sorta like the big list, except more in depth).

The spreadsheet link is listed below:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArmdnpkpJvr3dGx2cUp4TFhQR25jalpRNmdCZmR1THc#gid=0

I need help getting the IQ groups, and pokemon after hex 482. Also, if anyone wants to help confirm statistics for any listed glitch, feel free to help out. If you encounter an error, just write what results you got below the existing ones in that cell.

For those who didn't know, to add new ID values, you need to have an apostrophe before the number, or it will remove the 0.

I may start a similar spreadsheet for Moves and Items in the future. In the meantime, have fun glitching!

A glitch that won't ruin your game when you perform it is the fainting glitch. When a pokemon faints, hold down the R button in Red Rescue Team, and your pokemon will just stay there, making the fainting animation until you release the R button.

SCared Fir3:edited post so it doesnt strech page. ;)

also there is no area called none.Is he the reincarnation of bad egg or the pokemon with the hex of 00?

I can't get those codes to work.  Do I need a master code, or what kinds of special set up is needed?  When can I input them?

What happens if we break the hacked decoy, what will it turn into?

It's a pokemon, not a move. It has HP, and when it loses that HP, it faints.

Me: What about DS?
Guy: HOLY s**t NO NO NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING NO NO NO YOU'LL HAVE TO START OVER!!!!!
Me: I have an R4i with savestate abilities.
Guy: I DON'T CA--wait, R4s have savestate ability?
Me: Yeah, it's cool! Press L+R+A+B+X+Y after enabling it.
Guy: Oh... neat.
Me: Read the features list next time.
Flashcarts are cool...
Anyway, I keep getting... well..."test entities" are the best description. (Explorers of Sky)
I'll do some asinine mission because I'm in-between missions and you have to do X missions and wait Y amount of time between them, and... no entities but my characters (Shinx, Eevee). Those glee ray whatever-the-fucks'll just APPEAR like a dumbass but there's no head sprite for anyone else but my characters. The names of those normally there:
Me
Partner
"test147"
"default13"
EXCUSE ME WHAT THE f**k?????

I was using R4 for a long time, and i didn't know about this, i knew that you can clone saves, or have multiple saves, but not this.

2x B presses while the ROM is selected. NOTE this ONLY applies if the card supports this. Some games screw up some when this is used, and some flat-out stop working. It's like LESS THAN 10% though that are affected so it's not bad.

Well, I think this will come in useful while playing randomized Explorers of Sky. Thanks.

No problem. Check if your card supports it. It also only works with the stock R4Menu Firmware.
