GlitchBattle 0.4 "Revelation"

Yes, after one measly day, I've released a new alpha version.

New features:
  • Negative HP - fixed
  • HP bars now work correctly
  • You get a "no will to fight" warning if you try to attack with or send out a fainted Pokemon (noted by the [FNT] in the name)
  • You get a warning if you try to send out the Pokemon that is already out.
  • When your pokemon is fainted, switching does not cause your turn to end.
  • Messages appear in the chat window whenever something happens in battle.
  • You get a "you win" dialog box if you knock out all your opponent's Pokemon. Similarly, if all your pokemon are fainted, you get a "you lose" dialog. What happens after that is still being worked on.

Still need to work on:
  • Music
  • Pokemon sprites
  • Sound FX?
  • Attack effects (if you notice Explosion does not faint the user yet)
  • The databases (which still contain only two pokemon and a subset of the attacks)
  • Type weaknesses and resistance
  • Conditions (primary such as poison and sleep, and secondary such as confusion)
  • Logic to decide which player goes first - right now (I believe) the player who's listening always gets to go first

Also new to this version is the "Address Book" feature, which allows you to map names to IP addresses (sort of how the domain name system works). See settings.dat for more info on that.

Yes, I know I said no more alphas would be released to the public, only to alpha testers.

The tester group, however, has a grand total of 0 members.
