Apparently it does pass Acid2. I was thinking it didn't because the nose is a pixel off the reference rendering, but apparently unlike Acid1 and Acid3, Acid2 doesn't necessarily have to be pixel-perfect.

The entire browser crashes. It does that even when you mouse over a link to it.

But, according to wikipedia it has parts of FF code in it.
It might have some code from Firefox here and there, but it kind of got its rendering engine from Safari so it's more accurate to say "built off Safari"

It's called WebKit. It's an open source web browser engine, which is also the core system framework for Mac OS's Web engine powering Safari, Dashboard, Mail, and many other OS X applications.

Firefox and the entire Mozilla gang are Gecko based layout engines.

IE, since version 4, has used Trident's layout engine.

Opera uses Presto, versions 4-6 had Elektra.
