Missingno. and game corruption
« on: June 10, 2006, 02:29:47 pm »
Yes. Yes. I know it hasn't been "proven", but what if Missingno does corrupt save files beyond the HoF?

It says it's a myth on [glitchcity=docs/myths]Glitch Myths[/glitchcity], but there are so many comments saying otherwise.

  • *technically* the first to discover the foundations of the Move 0x00 ACE glitch but this was at a time (mid-aughties) no-one even thought about ACE

Some people either are scared of glitches and hacking or hate them so they tend to make "rumors" about them corrupting the save files. Then it spreads to people who don't care much about them and soon it becomes a myth.

I guess I might try to see if it's true by catching a ton of Missingno.

I don't think it's really true my first Blue stopped work after awhile 'cause the battery inside was faillling badly after a while it would never work again, but I've been a Glitch Hunter for a bet long time I've done it on my first Red, and I've been doing it for so long it was fine just HoF wasn't. But this 'Yellow MissingNo. I've heard all kinds of rumons about it.
