So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star-The Byrds

This song is mocking how easy it was (And still is) to get into the music business. Back then it was about the Monkees, nowadays it could be about Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers.
"Mr. Weed? I can't come to work today. I was in a terrible plane crash. My entire family was killed and I am a vegetable. I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Mr. Toad, how many licks of you does it take to get to the center of a Rhode Island state prison?"
(BAM!)
"JUST ONE."

No, No! Beer bring pain!

I think, therefore I am. I think.

The mayfly lives only one day. AND SOMETIMES, IT RAINS.

"My, my, hey, hey, Rock and roll is here to stay. It's better to burn out, than to fade away, My, my, hey, hey."-Neil Young

"I'm sitting on the corner feeling glad.
Got no money coming in but I can't be sad.
That was the best cup of coffee I ever had.
And I won't worry about a thing because we've got it made,
Here on the inside, outside so far away."
-"Inside", by Jethro Tull

There's been all sorts like that over the years. I mean now a days, you get bitchers that complain that the bands they loved in the old days, "changed" because they're a little older. Sad bastards get a life. I mean I sometimes listen to music videos on YouTube, if I can't find the song, and I get faggots that b***h that Slipknot have changed a bit. f**k sake, they're getting older, Corey's like 30 something, and the rest I don't know, I mean just because they change a bit, (age, as it can effect the voice), and people b***h about it. It drives me mad.

True, very true. I don't think you're a true fan of a band if you abandon them once they get older. Because inevitably all bands get old. It's not something you can control-it just happens. It's really sad how bands will get tossed aside and forgotten once they have been around for about ten years. Some bands even get made fun of for staying around for a long time. I think once you get older, your subject matter changes because you got older. It's inevitable. You experience things and it changes your style. A big example is Led Zeppelin-their early matrerial was bluesy, confident, youthful, often sexual, and (Dare I say) bragging. Their later material was a lot less confident, a bit more dramatic, very rarely sexual, and more mature. Your subject material inevitably changes, and I don't believe a band should be criticized for that. But enough of that.

This. I hate old people who complain about how pop music sucks these days when earlier decades weren't much different.

I need a new siggy, because this siggy is shitty... shittiggy... shiggy.... something.

So true, Homer. I mean, I am bit of a MCR fan, and I heard one of their new songs a few months ago and I wasn't keen on it, but I still like them even though they've changed a bit.
