« on: June 18, 2008, 08:26:08 pm »
Any plans for music?

I like the MS DOS thing.

Check Newgrounds Audio Page and search Pokemon for some nice remixes. Too bad none are Midis.
:(

Anyone know any free music creators that make Midis?

Are we sure we want midis? Which format would be the best?

Sticking to quality control and moderation until I sort some IRL matters out. I check in here almost daily and will answer questions, but not all of them.
I don't have a habit of keeping Discord open, so direct inquiries are preferred through here.

:-/
imo, I think GCL's fangame should have its own music. We could get all the musicians here at GCLF and write up some hardcore s**t.
Seriously, if you wanna be original.

We ought to make it an announcement.

"The GCL fangame project needs pokemon-like original music. Anyone with skill should apply in the thread 'Music." or something like that.

I used a Midi Generator called Frinika, It is a Java file so is convenient for me because it allows me to use on whatever operating system I wish. It is Quite good, not the best in the world, but I like it.

It has Notation, Length based Bars and Direct input. Also has other output types, if needed.

SourceForge Page

Only problem is that it take a short while to get used to

I agree,
I kinda have an idea about a song, and or what we could do.
There could be different catagories of music,
Routes,Towns,Battle,Battle SFX,Evolution music,Those little beepy noises,and all that jazz.

Obviously, during a battle against a glitch or while in a glitch town, there has to be beepy/strange music, that makes no sense at all. I could record some of my glitch music hacks.

Yeah that could work, but we could have normal music too sometimes.

I could try recording some synth if I can find some MIDI cables that fit in my laptop.

If you can. I could write something up [thats normal, and maybe a glitch one] and record it and try to get it up here.
