They aren't. They're just having a moderately violent discussion, which is OFF TOPIC.

Well, back on topic, these server failings are getting to frequent.
Dude. Yeah right. >-<
You havent been at GCL long enough to KNOW how frequent this happens. [not saying it always happens] Also today SMF fucked up. It said tell your system operator or something. All I did was /msg XD003 on IRC about it :/

No, XD003 did not fix it, if that's what you're thinking.

Yes, OFF TOPIC. We've got a full page of crap that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. So lay off. Its pissing me off to read through all your babbling about Operating Systems when we have an entire board dedicated to computer related discussion. So take your off topic posting to a place it belongs. The reason we have so many damn boards is so people can talk about most everything and still be on topic. Spamming in the fourm announcements region defeats the purpose's.

How much of this is just natural progression of a topic, though?

It was the natural progression of the topic. Only it progressed into something that had no relevance to the original topic and then grew. Your last post and this post here is a great example of natural progression of a topic. But, thats only two posts and I hope we'd have the sense to make a new topic if we wanted to discuss "natural progression of a topic" further and in more detail. So after a page or so of posts, you should have made a new topic somewhere else.

Haha, I'm serious. My brain is worse, than it used to be. But, again Lunix, seems better than bloody XP, right now.
What the f**k is up with you and Lunix? it's Linux, mkay?
Also, yeah, you should use ubuntu to host your server, you shouldn't wait until it malfunctions, but meh, your decision.
