I had to join the Pamela Anderson fan club for some reason. Apparently there was such a thing, and eventually Pamela Anderson herself called me and I was like "aaaaagghhh!! I hate phones!!! Why did you do this to me", because apparently someone gave her my phone number. And then I woke up.

My subconscious is fired.

I need a new siggy, because this siggy is shitty... shittiggy... shiggy.... something.

Interesting Zowie.

I relate too, sometimes our subconscious brings up dreams that feel a little weird now and then. I also have a strange habit of dreaming I'm back in school, makes me curious at times.

Hi!

I'm Evie.

I'm a transgender person, but any pronouns are fine. She/her preferred.

Unfortunately due to legal concerns I won't be using emulators and unauthorised copies of ROMs anymore, just real hardware with official cartridges and a cheating device (Xploder) to aid research, sorry.

Online I most often use the username Torchickens or Chickasaurus.

Fun times come and go, we may argue what is the point if nothing in this world is permanent; and all energy is believed to be subject to transformation. I guess in the temporary absence of it though, we value those times more and even though some things seem to be lost, they return in other forms.

Straight from my MS Word document:

I was living on my own in an apartment. The rent all of a sudden spikes and the landlord – normally a nice, affable chap – becomes a raging arsehole who goes around harrassing and assaulting tenants for whatever reason. Disturbed by his sudden attitude and believing there is evil afoot, I call everyone’s favorite heroes for hire, The A-Team: George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz and Mr. T. Not the movie one. We capture the ‘landlord’ after a short scuffle and discover that he is actually a lookalike; the real landlord – henceforth known as Mr. Landlord – owed money to the Canadian mafia (that makes me laugh just typing it) and the imposter was sent in to collect it by raising the rent. Oddly, there was no lock and load montage or a vehicle-building montage; the dream skipped directly ahead to the final battle, where Hannibal and I took on the Don in a two-against one fistfight that ended with me kicking him over a table. We found Mr. Landlord stashed in a closet and rescue him afterwards, and while watching the mobsters get hauled off to jail, we all reminisce on how we love it when a plan comes together. The dream ended shortly after with me watching them drive away, only to be suddenly pursued by Col. Decker.

Had a dream last night about having to rig an entire city to explode using the electrical systems to stop Ajit Pai from going through it so he couldn't end net neutrality. He never showed because he took a different route.

i'm not even memeing this was exactly how it went down

I guess you could say the city got...

...throttled
I can't wait for the sweet release of death

Regarding the thread, the other night I recall having a dream where I was at my friend's grandparents house. I walked into their guest room and I happened to notice a very large, very old TV. When I turned it on, I realized that the TV displayed past events as they happened. Mainly disasters, such as nuclear meltdowns and hurricanes. Near the end of the dream, I got greedy and stole the TV for my self. I plugged into an outlet on my garage. When I did, a green couch appeared behind me, but the TV simply showed a static image. I proceeded to stare at the static for the remainder of the dream.

Rather odd.

Some friends and I were innawoods and we came across some kind of native reserve. There were these four totem-like statues that stood six feet tall at the entrance of the reserve, and when we left, we noticed that the statues were watching us do so.

While walking home, we all start melting as a result of some random-ass curse typically associated with such creepypastas places. I managed to reach my house's front door, which was enough to undo the curse, or whatever.

Later, I decide to explore another forest and encounter a friendly doggo (I think it was a doberman), who became my trusty companion. As we're about to take a left turn down the nature trail, the doberman starts growling and pulling on my shirt. Taking the hint, I decided to head back.

My friends and I were on our way to the CNE like we usually are once a year, and Zowayix was coming along with us. So I drove to Australia, which is apparently only an hour away from my house, to pick her up.

I live in Canada, in case I need to remind anyone. And I don't even know what Zowayix looks like.

Later, Photon Phoenix, Mr. T, and I broke into an abandoned building for some reason. I think it was a radio station, 'cause we left with a bunch of broadcasting equipment. While we were there, Yeniaul or Parzival or whatever he's calling himself now triggered an Emergency Alert broadcast about a nuclear missing strike from an unknown enemy, which was our cue to bail. But first, Mr. T had the obligatory fistfight with the dude who was suddenly guarding the place and KO'd that sucka. We escape in a truck, then Canada went on red alert for an hour before realizing the alert was false. Again, I don't know what Phoenix or Yeniaul look like.

I can partly explain this one because A) I watch shitloads of The A-Team and B) I also like watching  Emergency Alert System Scenario videos on YouTube.

What even is my subconscious?

I just had a dream where some dickhead released a giant cloud of nanobots into the air that was turning everyone into robots and linking them to an evil AI. I was trying to stop it, and to get access to the AI I had to recite the details of my father's death (a carryover from a dream from years ago.) After beating the living s**t outta the PC the AI was running on (holy f**k did I enjoy that) I had to go and kill all fully-converted people, which included several GCL members. The dream ends here as my dad woke me up to see why I was crying.

Me and a couple of friends had formed a three-person version of the A-Team, and were going up against ruthless arms dealers while trying to avoid both Col. Decker and General Fulbright. We mount an assault on the bad guys' lair and engage them in a shootout that ends after I use a Ruger mini 14 that had been converted into a grenade launcher to blow the place up.

Immediately after we catch the bad guys, Decker and Fulbright show up and detain us. While Fulbright goes to call in an escort vehicle, he tasks Decker with supervising us. However, Decker falls asleep (which seems more like something Col. Lynch would do), allowing us to hijack a jeep and escape capture.

Last night I had a series of dreams that there was a spinosaurus loose in my old house. Unfortunately, I only remember two events:

1. Hiding on top of a shelf in the basement to avoid it. This didn't work, since it rammed its head against the underside and sent me hurtling to the ceiling.

2. Luring it back into the house after we wound up outside and setting the building on fire. The house collapsed, killing it.

Well, this/these were certainly... something else, that's for sure.

Basically, this new sort of VR technology had been invented that recorded your dreams and allowed you to repeat them, sort of like a video game's stage select. I tested it out and found myself in this sort of McDonald's-looking place, but much larger and with two floors, the second of which was on top of an incline. At the top of the hill was a table with small toys on it, a window, and a young girl. She touched one of the toys, triggering a self-destruct sequence that destroyed the restaurant and killed her, but I managed to escape. After the dream was recorded, I "replayed" it and even though the McDonald's was destroyed again, I was able to rescue the girl by leaping out the window with her since I knew this would happen.

Then I woke up and fell back asleep.

The second dream was a shootout with no context. It was taking place outside a glass building, I was partnered with some random woman, and the gunmen were wearing black suits. And the gunmen's leader looked like David Caruso. After a short fistfight with not-David-Caruso, I stole his pistol and picked off the rest of his crew, but then he drew a hidden revolver and used the unnamed woman as a hostage. She rammed her elbow into his chest and I shot him in the head.

My theory is that the second dream was a continuation of the first, the woman was the developer of the VR tech, the glass building was some kind of government black site where it was being developed, and the suits were after the dream-VR technology for whatever reason. Probably an evil one.

Crosspost from /r/Atelier, from a few months ago. It still amuses me to no end to think about it.

I dreamt Ingrid was my teacher. Myself and a bunch of other students were in a huge classroom with stone walls and desks positioned in concentric circles around a platform the professor would stand on. Once we had seated ourselves, Ingrid walked in and took her position in the middle. She explained that she was going to talk very fast and that there would be no questions or whiteboard, and that thus we better listen well so as not to miss anything. She then started the lecture, talking about God-knows-what at, as she had warned, a very rapid pace. Everyone was scribbling furiously in their notebooks, somehow sustaining their focus as her inhumanly fast and ceaseless inundation of unfathomable prolixity droned on like a freight train barreling through the room.

I managed to catch a few words, but quickly realized I was missing nearly all of it. Deciding I didn't want to be seen demonstrating only above average levels of comprehension, I found a way to sneak to a desk closer to the back of the room. Noticing that taking notes on this lecture was a lost cause, I started just pretending to write in my notebook. However, her TA, Albert Einstein, pulled me aside, telling me I couldn't wear earplugs in class. "The brain is in the ears!" He kept saying. (I hadn't realized I was wearing them until this point, but I actually had them on in real life to help me fall asleep). Not wanting to adjust to everything being louder, I asked if I could still keep one in, and for some reason he was okay with that. With one earplug in, I waited out the rest of the lecture.

After class, I went to another classroom where a few students were taking a break. This room had wide tables instead of individual desks, and I saw a bunch of alchemy equipment lined up in front of each chair (I want to say cauldrons, but I really don't know what they actually were). I found a large staff, yelled out "FIVE!", and then swung it at the equipment, intending to knock over five of them with a single stroke. I didn't manage to get that many, so I had to try again. I called out something like "THREE!" and took another swing, but fell short of the intended count again. I told the other students in the room that since I seemed to be having trouble, they should try it too and see if they could match their numbers. They agreed to join in, and had quite a lot of fun with it. Before long, we were destroying everything in the room with our staffs! I don't know what happened afterward.

Welcome back. You seem more dudeish now, so that's good!
