Coin Case "Menu Popping"

I am getting Pokémon Gold soon and I decided to play around with a ROM. I used the coin case glitch and tried a path when I accidentally opened the menu, I continued and the game crashed when I used the coin case. This effect, although I haven't played with it, depends on where you open the menu.
Without menu popping, five right in game corner:

As you can see, using TheZZAZZGlitch's script, we find that the memory is different.
