What is this sprite?
« on: January 04, 2019, 10:04:04 am »
While playing around with the code 01FFE0D4 set in Yellow, I came across this circled sprite. It was walking down as if it was an NPC. Is it a glitched sprite, is it used somewhere, or is it an unused sprite?

Also on the same subject, I've encountered a sprite various times resembling rock debris or something like that. I unfortunately forgot how to replicate it but I'll post it if I find it again.

Edit: I found it! Just perform CoolTrainer in Victory Road. ✿

I've seen many of this rock debris stuff when using wtw to cut through routes, and sometimes during trainer fly if I remember well :)
No idea what it is though, but the circle thing looks like old amber. I think that's what it is.

Yep, it's the Old Amber. :)

I come and go. Apparently still more than most of the other regulars, so hard to say it's a semi-hiatus of some sort. Suggestions for wiki organization are appreciated here if you haven't seen this thread yet.
I don't have a habit of keeping Discord open, so direct inquiries are still preferred through here.

OK thanks Krys3000, Sherkel! Darn, I thought it could be a Chansey Egg or reference to the unused Japanese Red/Green "Egg" text ha ha. I hope that debris thing is an unused sprite though. ✿

Isn't the rock debris naturally part of some cave tiles or is that a false memory?

I swear I've seen that a million times during play-throughs

Well that Rock Debris sprite doesn't look familiar to me though I've only played through Red version a couple of times. Is it maybe exclusive to Pokemon Yellow? (I own Yellow but I've yet to actually play it a lot)
Video games can bring people together or keep them from society. Your choice but trust me, it's better to hang with other people who share your values and interests then to become an introvert. Never let a game with fake prophecy fake killing, and fake weapons become more than a game of pretend. Never let them influence your real life actions. Real killing is wrong but a video game is just that if you keep it that way.
Keep Calm and Game On!
