Fuchsia City Sign Copy
« on: March 31, 2019, 11:14:56 am »
I didn't know where to put this, and I haven't seen this documented on The Cutting Room Floor, so I assume it's not well known. Anyways I'm currently editing Fuchsia City in my Pokemon Red/Blue hack and noticed there's an inaccessible sign a few tiles above and to the right from Bill's grandparent's house. (It's exact coordinates are 15, 23.) I looked at the text script for Fuchsia, and low and behold Text 11 and 12 point to the Fuchsia City sign, and that inaccessible sign is just a copy of the sign. Meaning the layout of the city changed sometime in development, and they forgot to remove the original sign but added a new sign. It's still present in Yellow as well, take a look:

I noticed this too, but from a different source hosted on Extra Tricky's website which is basically a big map of Kanto.

Here's how to do it with glitches in the English and Japanese versions.

Thanks for sharing it again. :)

I'll add it to The Cutting Room Floor now.

✿ Hi, I'm Evie. Sex male, and spiritually doesn't believe 'male'/'female' needs to be defined; lives more stereotypically like a woman. Call me whichever pronouns you like. :)

Please note:

While I'm one of the staff who runs the site, Abwayax is the founder and manages the technical side of the site (specifically the server, but I can do forum/wiki stuff if you like, I suggest if you do to make a thread about it to gather a consensus). Still feel free to contact me about higher site issues though; I will forward them to Abwayax if needed. :)

I feel that the more people pray to our greatest source/God/mathematical equality for world peace, the more and more it manifests into reality (until our next spiritual death).

Thank you Nyapon for this lovely artwork. :3
