Minor audio weirdness on trade evolutions
« on: April 06, 2019, 10:47:34 am »
I recently got my link cable in the mail so I could improve my pokedex in Fire Red, and between my black GBA SP and my purple standard GBA i connected it to a Sapphire with a dead battery so I could do some trading.

On each of the trade evolutions I did into Sapphire, starting with an Alakazam, something strange happened.

Behind the Pokemon's cry, the noise of the XP bar growing played. This happened for every trade where a Pokemon evolved in Sapphire - Alakazam, Golem, Machamp, Gengar, Steelix, Kingdra, Scizor, Politoed, and Porygon 2.

Is this meant to happen? And why does it happen?

It's meant to happen. It's just how it's programmed. Here, specifically. I always liked it. :)

Held aloft, as if by hands, their thoughts remain adrift
Torn asunder, broken bands
A void, a dream, a rift
