Patrolled vs. Reviewed
« on: June 25, 2019, 11:09:01 pm »
Can anyone more familiar with MediaWiki (or our fork) give me a quick rundown on the difference? Generally, I mark an edit as patrolled if it looks acceptable, but don't hit "Accept revision" unless a reliable source has already confirmed it and it should have been on the site already.

Sticking to quality control and moderation until I sort some IRL matters out. I check in here almost daily and will answer questions, but not all of them.
I don't have a habit of keeping Discord open, so direct inquiries are preferred through here.

I don't know sorry. However, on other wikis patrolled is a feature for marking an edit as trustworthy. Sometimes it appears with a red "!" when it needs to be patrolled. Reviewed on the other hand is for wikis that have a review system like ours, e.g. with the "Accept revision"/"Unaccept revision"

I think reviewing may be required for staff/QC members here, but not sure if Abwayax wants us to patrol every page. Ideally it may be good to review and patrol every page (to remove the "!", click "diff" and then click the circled button below.)

Hope this clears some things up, though! :)

✿ Hi, I'm Evie. Sex male, and spiritually doesn't believe 'male'/'female' needs to be defined; lives more stereotypically like a woman. Call me whichever pronouns you like. :)

Feel free to contact me here about anything regarding the site.

Forgiveness. I feel that the more people pray to our greatest source/God/mathematical equality for world peace, the more and more it manifests into reality (until our next spiritual death).

Thank you Nyapon for this lovely artwork. :3
